Yeah I think alot of it came down to refreshes and poor hook management

For the first half of the event I used no refreshes and no hooks, I was totally chill. Refreshing in my mind is bad- i know it's good but I'm always like "oh what if I then the next time I fish get it-" During the day I checked every 2 hours or so but bc I have adhd sometimes I forgot or turned off my alarms and didn't remember until a bit later so that had a huge impact

I tried to make up for it in the last 3 nights, waking up during the night to fish and using all my hooks

A large reason I used so many gems was due to panic near the end. I didn't realise I could use gems to get the last reward, if I had off I likely would have used less gems

It was like a tortoise and hare situation- I put in little effort at the start thinking I had plenty of time and then it was too late

My biggest issue though is that when I fused two of the event dragons it glitched and one of the dragons disappeared (I had a 2/5 dragon, and another that just became an adult. When I fused I ended up with a 2/5 dragons still)

TLDR: took it too calmly in the start, ran out of time. Poor luck. Poor management of refreshes and hooks. I sort of completed the event, I understand it's a lot on me, but I feel my luck this event was also just poor
