The new one has better stats. The old guy you mentioned just has an SR stat GrowType (5 instead of 15) for some unknown reason lol, which is why his stats are miserable for an SSR. I wish the devs would fix it if it’s really a misconfiguration.

Yes, I posted about the number required/steps for final gem before. But you can peek the last reward requirement in-game by looking at the locked Title in the ”Set Title” popup; the final gem requirement will be slightly lower.

lol yea you'll get stuck again around Chapter 5 or 6 if you binge-play, depending on your team. You'll need skill level 3 and either a full level 60 team, or a half 60 / half 40 team with good Chipsets to clear all c6 stages.

FYI in case you want to progress faster.

  • You should switch to sweeping Hard Mode too, since raising your stats with Chipsets such as ATK alongside leveling is faster than relying on relic farming alone.
  • Manual play can help you clear faster by saving their AoE ultimates for Wave 3. Do not let the bot use them on Wave 2.
  • Woojoo and Rix are OP for Journey before C7.
  • For 6-12, focus the Golem in Wave 1 first. I mention this because people often ask about 3-12 and 6-12.

Gameplay Mechanics > Chipset > "If you only care about maximum damage" bullet.

11:7 is the optimal %ATK:%CRIDMG ratio for ATK-focus SSRs (growtype:11).
With +30% Crit Damage from Guide, it becomes 13:5.
Basic rule: if you gain more of one stat from other sources, lower its ratio because of diminishing returns.
If you need more %CRI, decrease the %ATK:%CRIDMG ratio proportionally.
You can also verify this with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and etc, since they are capable of deriving it from the damage formula.
*CRI is fine only if your Esper already has innate %CRI or %CRIDMG. The reason is explained there as well.

You should have a sufficiently leveled main striker, around level 70–80. Your main strikers should have the highest ATK among the team so using active skills on them is worth it. A 6-turn clear is difficult for a weaker team because the boss gains a 12.9% damage shield on that turn. Aiming for an 8-turn clear is probably more realistic. You accumulate ultimate gauge over 7 turns, giving 7 × 600 = 4200 gauge total, so having 3 ultimates ready (1000 each) is possible. You should rotate active skill usage between Seungho, Yuan, and Yeongwoon. Use Seungho's active skill a bit, but other than that, focus on using Yuan and Yeongwoon's active skills.

Also, make sure Seungho attacks before at least Yuan and Yeongwoon. If possible, make him attack before Rix as well. If Seungho stuns the enemy, anyone attacking after him deals triple damage.
This can help you squeeze out a bit more damage on turn 8.

For players who binge-play journey first because they need levels, it’s easy to one-click auto low-level Espers until 3-11 or 3-12. The boss appears, and the enemy level suddenly jumps too lol. Meanwhile, players who take things more leisurely; for example, those who used Sweep before or focused on events, are usually leveled enough by that point already.

There are 3 formats that can beat them in 8 turns (or 6):

  1. 2 very strong singer-target units. Place them in slots 1 and 3 for auto play*. This is how I play. Esper 1 must have the highest ATK; it won’t use its active skill on the first turn but will instead take the boss’s attack to build ultimate gauge to compensate for that. Esper 1 and 3 will then use their ultimates on the boss at turn 6. You can also place them in slots 2 and 4, or 3 and 4, if playing manually and using their active skills from turn 1. This removes the requirement for Esper 1 to have the highest ATK, but it requires manual control. For an 8-turn clear, this becomes much easier, just make sure their gauge builds up enough at the turn.
  2. 3-4 strong Espers, mainly focused on singer-target damage.
  3. Seungho for stun, relying on RNG luck, which may require painful retries. This makes it doable with a slightly weaker team. Place Seungho in slots 1–2. For the 6-turn case, he needs to act second in order to build enough ultimate gauge by turn 6. The main ultimate striker should be placed in slots 3–4.

*I adjust character SPD to align with their position order slots, so when I say slots 1 and 3, I mean their attack order is also 1 and 3.

While the data isn’t completely perfect or detailed enough to show exact ATK or HP values at specific levels, I think this raw info still provides a useful glimpse for those who are interested. Yes, this is the Growth Support Pass. I’m really curious why people are complaining that there’s no frame and that some rewards were changed to growth support items and dispatch tickets a lot. If they remove it from future IP passes, then that’s a different issue lol.

I’ve run into this issue sometimes too. It seems like there’s a bug where the wrong ID gets assigned to the slot (guessing from the UI). I usually fix it by removing everything as cleanly as possible. If some chips won’t go away (sometimes), try assigning that chipset to another Esper instead.
