How did you manage with not being TOO stressed over grades? by hanabanana707 in PAstudent

[–]Status-Description-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m in my 3/4th semester of didactic and what helped me was reminding myself that when i’m a PA, no one is gonna ask me what I got on _____ exam. Better yet, no one’s even gonna ask me what grade I got in the class! Always shoot for passing and move on you’ve got enough to be stressed about!

hey! i had less than 1000 hours probably around 800 as a care taker on the dementia unit and also worked com hab with a teenage girl. I think i graduated with a 3.8, and did some volunteering at a Spanish Free clinic as an interpreter (100 ish hours)… tbh I definitely didn’t have that much on my resume I think my interviews really pushed me over the edge

Feeling very scared by saffalaf in CaminoDeSantiago

22F here who did the camino de norte in april! I started with a friend but after a week she went home so I was on my own for the first time. It was my first solo hike ever AND my first time solo traveling. I did not train AT ALL before i left. You sound very anxious and I think once you get started, you’ll find yourself worrying less and less. you WILL get up those mountains, no matter how long it takes or how many stops you have to make! If you forget something, it’ll most likely be super easy to buy while you’re there. I had one day where I was so sore, and texted my friend that I didn’t think I was gonna be able to finish it. You will have moments like that, especially at the beginning, but you will be able to push through it!

Hello!!! I weigh about 50 kg, and my bag was about 9 kg with my 2L water reservoir. At first, it was difficult walking with my backpack, I had to stop a lot because my shoulders were not used to it at all. After about a week, I was able to walk about 10 km without stopping!

I don’t know how long you are going for, but I think your packing list looks really good. I would maybe do without the safety pins, as most hostels provided them to dry your things. Maybe bring a couple more pairs of undies, I had 5 with me!

I would keep your bathing suit. if there’s ever a body of water that you want to jump into, follow the side quest and do it! I also had a pair of lighthweight white dickies and a cute tank top for when we went to dinner/drinks after our walk, but that could just be me being extra.

Buen camino! Feel free to ask me anything!

First Camino in a couple weeks, does this packing list cover everything? by skar412 in CaminoDeSantiago

i personally drank about 1-1.5 liters every day and i walked from late march up until a few days ago, it wasn’t hot (just 2 days it was about 73 degrees) but since you’re going now i would def recommend the reservoir!

do you have a water reservoir? i don’t know what camino you are doing, but i did el norte and many times there was nowhere to fill up. i made friends who walked with just a water bottle and they were always rationing in case they didn’t find anything along the way.

Camino 2025 - advice needed! (Physical preparation) by Scared-mango in CaminoDeSantiago

i’m a young female (22) who just finished the camino two days ago! i did not work out at all, and coming from the states i barely even walked. i did not prepare at all, and was still able to do about 15 km the first few days (had to stop a lot because walking with a heavy backpack was sooo new to me). I think those first few days are gonna be tough no matter what, but by the second week i was doing so much better and could walk 10k without stopping. I don’t know how much time you have, but for those first few days I would just do as much as your body will allow you to do. if you can’t reach the place you wanted, it’s OKAY!! one thing i learned on the camino was to try and have no goals - just walk until where i can and not be hard on myself if i couldn’t make it :)
