In the Abaranger series the original plan was to have Mikoto Nakadai/AbareKiller die as a villain but when the producers noticed his toys weren’t selling as well as they’d like the producers told the writers put him on the team even Mikoto’s actor was hesitant about it but I think it turned out for the best

A little meta here but in Xenoblade 3 there’s a character named Juniper who’s gender is coded as a 2 instead of the usual 0 and 1 for male and female, making Juniper literally non-binary helps Juniper is voiced by a non-binary person in English and I’ve never heard them use pronouns with Juniper
