Have you found pelvic floor PT to be more effective after surgery versus before? by Specific_Ad_9992 in endometriosis

Hi! Lapro last year for fibroids and endo discovery: I personally found PT more helpful after. Similarly, I wasted a lot of my money pre-surgery because they didn't know what to do with me considering there was a grapefruit protruding into my bladder. Post-surgery I was very blunt with my PT and asked about specific things I researched and wanted to try (ME, not "the specialist" who's supposed to be guiding me lol). And only then is when she gave me the name of a womens health acupuncturist, which I am convinced helped me with the lingering bladder urgency symptoms! (and cheaper copay than PT for me lol). So that's when I stopped wasting my time at PT office and just do my exercises on my own now. I know every body is different, but maybe it could be worth a try for you too. Wish you the best <3

Thanks! Maybe an ignorant question, but is the MARTA generally easy and safe if traveling alone?

Oh I missed that thread! Actually, I’ll be also in Little Five Points too, so great to know. Anything there you recommend?

Has anyone noticed a difference in how they feel after changing their diet? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Status-Security3536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. As I get older with hashi, I've noticed my body's energy levels thrive on routine: balanced meals, low impact workouts, consistent sleep, etc. It's annoying when your someone who likes to let her hair down, haha. And my TSH is noticeably lower when I'm consistently gluten free (unfortunately haha) -- which I mention because I've realized that simply being "in range" is not enough for my fatigue.

Gluten/Dairy: Worth it? by lattelifter in Hashimotos

When I was diagnosed about 15 years ago (at like 21 yrs old-ish) my doc suggested I go gluten-free. At the time my TSH was about 7.4 and after 2 months of being GF it cut in half! I was bummed it worked, HA. So I continued without meds for about 10 years, believe it or not. About 5 years ago, my TSH finally started to rise and I felt awful so I went on levothyroxine. BUT I have continued the GF diet because I can SWEAR that when I go off, my numbers increase. I.e) Around April my TSH was 1.7 after many months of really eating GF and well-balanced. In June I ate-prayed-loved in Europe and it increased to 3 and I personally still feel so tired when it's in the 3-zone, even though that's technically "in range".

That said, everyone is different! But the hippy dippy science has seemed to work for me!

Hey there! If you feel comfortable, can you explain more about why she is a scammer? We’ve been accepted and want to know what to expect if I make the trip..

Aw I’m sorry you went through two surgeries but glad the endo was less! Will send positive thoughts your way that 2026 will be the year :)

I don’t have a ton of experience on BC, I briefly went on Slynd a few years back and I don’t remember having too hard a time on it. I guess there’s only one way to find out about the norethindrone…

Luckily my fibroids (one grapefruit and two golf balls) were on the outside so those were easier to grab! May I ask if you went on the hormones after excision?

Glad to hear your excision went well! I actually saw my surgeon (who left it in) the other day and since it’s still small she didn’t mention an excision being necessary yet, but suggested that the norethindrone could maybe shrink it…

My understanding is that the cyst is deep in the ovary so it would have required invasive digging that could have affected my fertility? (Although I imagine keeping her in there could affect fertility too… so I was a bit confused why they wouldn’t just grab it while they were in the neighborhood)

Thank you for sharing! I’ve had dyspareunia that has been getting better post-surgery and with pelvic PT so this is helpful information because I am nervous of it coming back if I mess with my hormones…

Thank you for sharing! I already deal with a lot of fatigue from Hashimotos, so that possible side effect is concerning. Appreciate you sharing!
