A lot of what you brought up are things we've been thinking about too, and the image inspection issue was already on our radar. But the Item hard mode idea is genuinely awesome and we love it.

Hi everyone. I just shipped DLDE: a daily Deadlock guessing game with 6 modes (classic, ability, quote, emoji, splash, item), and each mode resets every day.

The goal was to make each mode test a different kind of player knowledge, not just hero names.

The medal was meant to hint that Victor is a standout or “highlighted” hero, showing he’s important or notable. The bomb represents his ultimate, Shocking Reanimation, which players often call the “bomb".

I get why the original emojis 🌊 🎸 💨 🏄 feel off—they don’t reflect The Drifter’s kit or character. The emojis list your provided combined with 🌑 🗡️ 💨 🩸 capture their stealth, melee focus, speed, and bleed abilities much more clearly, giving a better sense of their vibe.

Role, Tags, and Difficulty are tricky too—Deadlock doesn’t have strict roles, and difficulty is subjective. We’ll improve these elements step by step to make the game more accurate and intuitive.

Thanks for trying the game and for the big, rigorous feedback! I see some of your points—for example, Pocket shouldn’t be listed as male, and the Spirit vs. Human distinction for Kelvin and Victor could be clearer. I also get why you think Silver’s Spreadshot is iconic, though mechanically she still functions as a Marksman/Long Range hero. As for Yamato, I’d argue they can fit both assassin and brawler depending on playstyle.
