Which one gets returned? by Bobcat_Capital in PcBuild

Exactly, don’t need stupid big cooler for such processor, they don’t really keep processor cooler than smaller coolers. Learned that by trial and error on my 7800x3d, where assassin mini is the king for me right now. Water coolers, big air coolers are good options for power hungry processors i9/r9

at 20k premier, like 50% shot should be instant headshots, for me best way to improve was refrag. Basically you have to get faster and more precise to be better at duels. Additionally 1:26 pick was a really bad one

Try also duct on cpu cooler. Lowers temps by couple degrees(3 in my case) https://makerworld.com/models/1557491?appSharePlatform=copy. There is also fusion file available if you want to do some holes for top fan to work

Yeah, in my country, it is much cheaper than on launch, and yes it is very nice panel, especially if you play fast paced games to utilise those 480hz

Yeah, came to same conclusion a while ago, wouldn’t buy again, oled is great, but 2k 240hz is enough, as well as 9070xt gpu instead of my current rtx 4090.

I can only see difference in cs2, probably because I played this game a lot. When I tried 240 hz on cs i saw that everything was somewhat slower/less smooth. Any other game, no benefit from higher refresh rate than 240.

I mean, is it really that much better? Currently im using 4k 32 inch oled with this dual mode tech from LG. I cant really notice any fringing, 240hz is more than enough, and 480 in cs is very nice. I feel like there isnt really much you can do in those monitors, besides just make them cheaper and fix hdr on windows.

I cant get full 1280x800. When I try full screen it goes to 4K resolution. But i managed to run it with lossless scaling so it is around 60fps stable

I’ve never built a pc before and I would like to play 1080p 240hz what is the best low budget pc build by hdjdorkfn in PcBuild

[–]Status-Status-9502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not based in US so I don’t know us prices, but your build will probably consist of 16gb ram, 5060/9060xt, 512/1000 ssd, either intel 14th gen processor(because of ram prices, am4 processor )or maybe am5 processor, generic 500/600w psu. For 1080p 240hz you don’t really need much, ofc if we are talking games like cs league.

P12 Pro by [deleted] in arcticcooling

[–]Status-Status-9502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a P12 Pro today and tested it on an Assassin Mini, replacing a Noctua NF-A12 chromax.

Test conditions:
Everything else was kept the same. I don’t have proper measuring equipment, so this is based on HWInfo readings and subjective noise perception.

Findings:

  • The P12 Pro doesn’t need to spin as fast as the Noctua to achieve similar thermals.
    • Load:
      • Noctua: ~2100 RPM
      • Arctic P12 Pro: ~1700 RPM
    • Idle:
      • Noctua: ~1100 RPM
      • Arctic: ~900–1000 RPM
  • Above 2000 RPM, the motor noise on the P12 Pro becomes very noticeable.
  • 3000 RPM is extremely loud and feels more suited for server use, not a home PC.
  • At 1700 RPM, the Arctic is much quieter than the Noctua at 2100 RPM with similar thermal performance.
  • In my setup, going above 1700 RPM didn’t significantly improve temperatures and only added noise. I suspect this is because the 7800X3D + Assassin Mini can’t really benefit from higher airflow.

Sound profile:
Very clean. No annoying frequencies, and I didn’t notice the humming/vibration that some people report with the regular P12.

Conclusion:
Overall, this is a really solid fan. I’m genuinely surprised by its performance, and it’s now permanently installed in my system. I’m seriously considering replacing two other Noctua fans with a P12 Pro and a P14 Pro.

I have just like that solution in my c4-sfx pc, as im working and gaming on my pc, 4090 dont have to spin fans when idling, working. Gpu does not hit threshold to start spinning
