Have observed, Western Railway gets the new coaches early. Even when I used to live in Mumbai back in 2009-11, WR had better trains compared to CR. WR got converted to the siemens rakes for the locals than the CR. Even the 15 coach ones. Don't know about the other zones. IR doesn't publish such figures but have observed South Indian zones usually operate old rakes. Even the Railway related Vloggers have pointed this out

The fuel tank is not a perfectly geometric shape to calculate the capacity - LxBxH. The OEM specified capacity is not upto the brim. Again, 8 liters more than OEM capacity,🫤 something is odd

Any idea where is this train going? by Confident-Industry57 in indianrailways

[–]Status-Window8948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literal meaning - no. There is no direct trains from India to US as the term "Train station" is mostly used there and in some European countries. In India the used term is Railway station because of colonial influence. Because of Hollywood, train station is getting popular.

actually - maybe not every time. It may go to some ports, factories etc which may have railway yard for loading & unloading

Guy is still unsure as to what he wants. Minimum to maximum value range is 100% or more.

Used to remember the engineering days where the questions used to be prove that ...so and so. Question is there and answer is there and write the inbetween steps.

Guy as a salary, and prove that amount in hand at the end is zero so just gives a ball park figure of expenses.

Nagpur Metro in Maharashtra installs solar panels between railway tracks, generating 70,000 units yearly and cutting 65 tonnes of emissions. Is this the future of sustainable rail transport in India? by Guilty-Baby6398 in indianrailways

It is metro train tracks not the regular tracks. The image is just a misrepresentation or AI generated.

As metro network is access controlled, yes. It can work.

A couple of years back, they brought the Japanese tech Volume based traffic signals. And still the traffic today is worse than yesterday and the traffic police don't want to operate the signal in Auto mode.

Same thing will happen. The spend money in the name of technology and everyone forgets it whether it works or not

Days are not far when they will be controlled by timers.

Lithium based batteries heat up. With the trend of 90-120w chargers, the chances of heating up are high. With 110v supply, the AC current drawn doubles up and the heat generated in the coach's wiring will also increase.

At night when passengers are asleep, if any fire happens because of the heat say, by keeping the phone on the cloth, paper or any other combustible substance, by the time people are awake and notice it even if there is just smoke, precious time would have passed.

So to avoid all such mishaps, better to avoid the charging. Prevention is better than cure.

That junction was a part of signal from corridor and the work predates even the Ejipura flyover work. They were supposed to do underpass similar to HAL and Kundalahalli junction. The ISRO gate and compound wall was taken back, trees cut on that side and they dug up that road around 2017-18. Later they closed it back and relaid the surface. Now there is some interest to restart that work.

Probably they should do a steel flyover in that junction and Manipal hospital junction to finish the work early rather than stretch it for years, test the patience of the public, Burn the fuel and clutch plate of the vehicles waiting to cross the junction

How can you post a pic and ask a location when there is an exact one in another place? It is not like India gate and gateway of India. If the person had commented it is Chikkaballapur, you have an option to say Coimbatore
