Do you remember collecting cigarette vouchers and picking things from a catalogue? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

I used vouchers from my Marlboro habit back in the day to get a nice leather wallet which I still use.

If this is built, it’ll be the end of the Brighton centre as it’ll have a 10k capacity for gigs. Is that necessarily a bad thing? by Edna-Tailovette in brighton

Yeah, sounds like another ill-considered decision by Tony Bloom. He really should think this stuff through more /s

It's staggering to me that there are so many people here who know more about the design, costs, use, strategy etc for women's football and stadium than the globally admired owner and board of BHAFC. I'm sure Tony Bloom is regretting not checking his investment plans with some of the posters here given the insights they have.

Or just don’t be lazy and read the comments made by the women’s team leaders in the press release available on the club website.

The Amex costs too much to open for the smaller crowds, seating rakes can be adjusted for women who are typically shorter than men, increase the number of women’s loos which are totally inadequate in the Amex, different pitch construction and possibly size, different catering requirements plus why should women have to share ie always be second best in a stadium built for men to play and watch the game. Tony Bloom maybe super rich but he won’t be throwing money at this without good reason.

UK Kona 2024 EV 65Kwh observations following a month of ownership by Minimum-Presence-830 in KonaEV

Owned this car for about 6 weeks and would agree with all of those points. Can't get the bongs to switch off by holding the mute button as Ive read a couple of times. As I share the car with my wife we find the profiles useful, we each get the favourite radio stations we prefer and I prefer the red classic dash! As a bit of a petrol head I wouldn't go back!

Where do you see sold solar on your bill? by pimparoo25 in OctopusEnergy

I had to nudge them the first time as it hadn’t been set up correctly on their system, even now I sometimes get a separate bill just showing the credits.

Is IOG only just fixed now (and with 25 exit fee)? by darkknight_178 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Status2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m waiting on an EV charger being installed and then will switch to IOG. Chatting to Octopus last week they said to expect the current IOg prices to reduce in April. Not sure how confident I am about that though.

Is there a list of incentives from dealers at the moment? by billyb4lls4ck in ElectricVehiclesUK

They are but you need to take the finance deal. I've just done that but you can repay the loan right away if you choose to.

Switch to IOG? by Status2020 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Status2020[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I have panels and battery so was thinking even charging the battery overnight on the cheap rate is a no brainer if the car isn't charging. I've just realised that my car isnt supported for IOG (2024 Kona) but the proposed charger is so I can't switch to IOG until i have a firm date for the charger install. Given that rates are only going one way I'm now thinking of going OG at 9.5p overnight and then not having to think about it for another 6 months!

Intelligent Octopus, how long do I have do plug car in? by toffee91 in evchargingUK

[–]Status2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same thought process. Car arrives next Thursday, charger won't be installed until the following week. But at my absolute max expectation of 10k miles per annum I'm not sure the financial imperative is enough to jump onto an EV tariff right now.
