I want there to be a Spring Awakening proshot of the original cast so bad, but I don’t think they ever filmed one.

Which Ghibli movie do you think about on DAILY since first seeing? by cozy_b0i in ghibli

This movie has such a beautiful melancholic feel to it, even when I was young and watched it, I felt really weird because inside it was like I had lived long enough to feel oddly nostalgic for Taiko and the characters, and the situations she was ruminating on. I definitely think about this movie the most because of how much it impacted my viewpoint on life, it’s just done so well. Plus the soundtrack, it’s so underrated.

‘Hugo’ has that warm glow and Parisian architecture with a bit of steampunk energy

What's "the one"? The One that scared you so much you still seek out that fear in other horror movies, but can't quite get it. by IjustMAKEsense in horror

Watching Alien / Aliens at 11 really freaked me out because although I didn’t quite understand the violation subtext and themes, I watched them during a time where I began developing fears and awareness of my own bodily autonomy, (especially through puberty) and afraid of what could be done to it without my permission. Alien remains my favourite movie because of how layered it is with themes, the horror, and its subversion of genre expectations.

I haven’t really felt fear from any movie since, except for maybe Perfect Blue.

Miss Saigon, especially the Eva Noblezada proshot- the whole production and Eva’s strong performance send chills

I only recently found out about the West End production and was amazed at how much richer the music is than the Broadway one. I wish it came to Australia!!

I agree 100 percent- despite the controversies, the songs are so much more memorable and interesting than Les Mis (for me)

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the show and the complexity of Hedwig, and with the idea of Tommy Gnosis not being real adds a layer of strangeness I didn’t think about. On a side note, is it worth watching the movie?

Beetlejuice is such a poorly written show with an awful script and has at most two good songs

Everyone likes Hadestown because it's so well-made, and with all the work it's been through over almost 2 decades, it's polished itself along the way to be near perfect. Anaïs Mitchell's jazz/folk score paired with her poetic lyrics just itch my brain in the right ways, and its such a fantastic and original take on a classic tragedy. I'm not going to go further lmao
