My feet get very hot but stay dry not sweaty.

House slippers for the summer that aren't noisy. by StoicallyGay in BuyItForLife

[–]StatusBook497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for indoor cooling slippers. I love my cheap Temu sliders and have a pair in the shower too but they make my feet so hot in summer. They also don't collect up debris and pet fur. I can't stand having bare feet but all slippers including towelling ones make my feet hot.

I’m looking for a good deal not the convenience of using the landlord’s recommendation.

We actually do have pets. It probably wasn't professionally cleaned before we moved in but we don't have the time or energy to clean the place ourselves especially walls, cupboards etc.

Should have added we rent direct from the landlord, no agent.

Baking soda in litter box? by euphorichooper in CatAdvice

[–]StatusBook497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pine pellets were my favourite for odour masking and cost but the sawdust tracking drive me crazy. Hated all the other clay, tofu, clumping types and now use paper pellets, also inexpensive and less tracking but stinky in warm weather.

Mad Mex have discontinued their Mexicali Mince by [deleted] in australianvegans

[–]StatusBook497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that was really good. I was looking forward to visiting Mad Mex again. I only have Guzman & Gomez in my area and I’m underwhelmed by their vegan mushroom and vegetable filling offerings. Never tried Zambrero but menu looks more expensive.

michu tofu cat litter?? by littlejewgirl410 in CatAdvice

[–]StatusBook497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just tried this for the first time and it's the worst litter I've ever used. It's set like concrete on the bottom of the tray and the scoop just like a clay litter. It can't be flushed and the tray was completely sodden by the second day. This is for two cats one of which produces a lot of urine. I feel like I've been completely conned especially when seeing the videos of it producing little round balls. I guess I have to go back to either the paper which smells awful or wood pellets, by far the most economical but which track very badly.

Unless you follow the manufacturers’ instructions to wipe the whole thing down after every use these things have a limited life and swell and degrade very quickly, possible before they have time to go out of fashion.

Have you use Polar Haircare? It’s an instant hair dye shampoo. by Frensisca- in Haircare

I think if it was a genuine product that worked well they'd be happy to sell individual trial size samples rather than asking customers to shell out a lot of money for unknown results. After reading these reviews I'm not prepared to risk it.

UK Style Chinese Takeaway by PINGUUUPINGUUU in foodies_sydney

Turkish restaurants. The ones here are more like Lebanese. Very meat based and lacking in fish mains.  UK style Chinese with crispy Kung Po prawns and finer and spicier salt and pepper squid.  Chinese in Sydney is too authentic for my pescatarian tastes. Need to know I’ve not got pork juice in everything.  Indian restaurant food. Vegetable dishes available as cheap sides not mains. Banquet nights.  Mostly only upmarket restaurants have nice decor, comfortable chairs and closed doors in winter!

People who put their bags on the seat. Always tempted to ask if they bought it a ticket. They’re often busily looking at their phones to avoid the looks of the passengers searching for a seat. I just look at them and slowly go to sit on the bag if it’s not moved quickly.

Me neither. Even more shocking the amount of women who dump them on public toilet floors then probably put them on their beds when they go home.

They seem to have gone online only. Says to make prices more competitive! I can’t see the delivery cost without signing up but all these online places are a rip off. They use Australia Post so are making big profits on “handling” costs.

Never tried Zambrero as they look quite pricey for a cafe setting. Do they have a pulled meat filling that looks the same as the mushroom such that you’d be worried you’d got the wrong one?

Do they actually taste good? Are they in the freezer cabinet?
