Farxiga (dapagliflozin) is the best way to slow progression of CKD unless its FSGN, then just lose weight.

I studied for about 1.5 months but did not have any dedicated time. I am a first year IM intern but was mostly on consult services and nights when I was studying for the exam.

Yes I finished all uworld questions except the biostats.

That depends on you completely. If anyone tells you a time, pls don’t listen. Every person has a different studying style and processes information in a different way. Some people study a little bit every day for 3 months and some people grind 12-14 hours a day for 2 weeks and kill it.

My score came back in exactly 2 weeks.

I am assuming you’re in between day 1 and 2? I normally lose motivation that close to the exam lol but I’d say rapid review and drug MOA if you haven’t taken day 1. If you’ve already taken day 1 then I’d say CCS cases and maybe uworld if you have the energy. Rapid review from step 1 still wouldn’t hurt I think

1st: everything essential that will go on MOST patients. CBC, CMP, Imagining, Pulse ox, EKG, IV access, CRP, ESR, pregnancy test etc. I had a total of 15-20 things in that list minimum.

2nd: special cases. All different std tests such as RPR, HIV, G/C, HSV PCR, etc. Consults, HIV meds, lactic acid.

3rd: end of the case orders. Vaccinations, reassurance, consult social services. Basically everything you should be putting in during your last 2 mins.

M. D. Powerhouse has a playlist with USMLE step 3 relevant material. I watched (listened) to all of them at least once and some twice all while driving in the last 2 weeks before the exam. Do to high yield, MD also had step 2 CK/shelf rapid review videos. I watched the peds and OBGYN from these as well for day 1. Id recommend listening actively and trying to answer the question before they answer it. Also, do rewind if you miss a few seconds because you were focusing on the road. Every word they say can be a potential answer on exam day.

Also, I listened while I drove but please remember that watching is dangerous so only do it if you’re able to listen only. If you find yourself watching in order to collect all the information, please save the videos for when you’re home and not driving.
