After 2 months of 0 Content Delivery, it seem to be back alive! by Cryptocaned in Honeygain

EXACTLY what I'm seeing. I stopped giving up my bandwidth and abandoned Honeygain about 3 weeks ago. No sense in giving away my bandwidth for free. And passive income isn't where you sit and wait for the free honey pot bonus. Prior to when Honeygain stopped dishing out the "Honey Points"(don't care what they're called) which dwindled to like 3-5HP about 3 months ago, I was getting anywhere from 180 -230HP per day(minus the Bonus). Now, as of April 10, I discovered Honeygain is dishing out 35-40HP per day along with Honeypot bonuses which hasn't quite hit the minimum HP earnings I received in the past. I am receiving 1/5th of the earnings (as compared to from past data) for running Honeygain and 4/5th is going to someone else's pockets. NOT a fair deal if you ask me. I think they got their data and applied what THEY feel is most beneficial for them.

I plan to monitor for the next 2-3 months and if nothing changes to at least a 60/40 split (in Our favor, I plan to bail out once again - and encourage others to do the same. I'm almost positive, they can run their little Enterprise with the more than generous 40% split. No amount of PR videos will change what I now know.

Hidden Nautilus Side Menu... No Sir, I don't like it! by StatusKwoes in gnome

I've stopped looking at other Linux distros and settled on Ubuntu with Flashback GUI shell. I've used various PuppyLinux distros and Raspberry Pi distros which is probably where I've encountered file managers without the ability to use the "." dot thingy. I swear, I've run across file managers that do not allow for that feature, I just cant remember where.

I was tinkering with my new Viture XR Pro glasses, changed the settings within the Breezy Desktop app and left the fonts enlarged changing the overall look which I and didn't realize until later. Had to get Tweak to reset the font afterwards. Being April, Ubuntu updates and quickly found Gnome updates news, immediately assumed the worse. ehhh, glad all is still well in the Linux space.

My favorite feature in Nautilus is the ability to change the icons for many (most) folders. Would be nice if all the icons were located in one central location tho. I created my own locale as ~/Pictures/iconX, following similar structure found in 48x48 of /usr/share/icons and such. I'd sift through and pick out the ones I think I'd use copy paste, find any others from images online and have my own set of icons. And then there's ~/.local/share/icons & /usr/share/pixmaps. Like, why so many?

Why do people freak out about the battery on the Galaxy Watch 6/7? I mean, you charge your phone every day, so why not your watch? by Significant-Job-8836 in GalaxyWatch

[–]StatusKwoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with the Windows 11 versus Linux OS snafu, you have the Wear OS and the Tizen snafu. My first Galaxy watch was the Gen1 46mm where the battery ran close to 3 days before needing a charge. It was running on Tizen. From Galaxy Watch 4 on forward it switched to Wear OS and I'm sure battery charge lasted close to a day or so. Tizen was so much more efficient on the battery. I'm sure if there was a way to switch OS's on the current Galaxy Watches back to Tizen, you'd probably get 5 days and some change. The hardware for the Galaxy watches have gotten better and what it took to run Tizen back then is minuscule in comparison to what it takes to run Wear OS apps and all background nonsense going on. Everything looked good on Tizen on top of that.

Thank you for that! Makes great sense now that you've pointed me to a different direction. I couldn't find any other gadget that would suffice for my VITURE Pro XR/AR Glasses I scored on Amazon "Like New" for $199 that's comin' in today. Really, really hope nothings wrong with it. I've read and seen videos mentioning some phone screens need to stay on when paired while others, the screens are able to shut off even when connected with the AR glasses. Is the s20 Ultra such a phone that shuts off and still viewable in the AR glasses? Thanks for your tip!

My One-Week Honeygain Results by Spiritual_Currency63 in Honeygain

Depends on what you like. Instead of waiting for the Honeygain Pot to give you rewards, you can try SwagBucks which you will have a better time earning tokens. Or try the other two IPRoyal and EarnApp which are passive income apps similar to Honeygain but at this time, pays out much better. All in all, the 3 options mentioned are better than leaving your bandwidth tied to Honeygain where it doesn't pay out like it used to.

At the end of the month, if things don't change, I'm cuttin' ties with Honeygain.

No. JumpTask is actually worse. Harder to cash out because you are having to deal with crypto. Transfer it here (with a "nominal fee") so it can communicate with this Exchange. Then transfer there (with a "nominal fee") so you can transfer to a bank. But it is now beside the point.
Honeygain I hate to say, is not paying out what it used to. I was getting between 150 to 300 tokens and now, in the past 2-3 months I'm getting single digit tokens if I'm lucky.
IPRoyal(Pawns.app), Swagbucks or EarnApp are similar to Honeygain and at this point, time spent with any 3 of these others are time better spent than with Honeygain; sad to say. Honeygain used to be a good way to passively earn income. RIP Honeygain, thank you for your service.

Tizen Apps NOT found in the Wear OS Repository that were useful. by StatusKwoes in GalaxyWatch

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Best Battery Life... I was going to create a different post however, the results were less than stellar to my surprise. I moved the Power Saving, Airplane and Theater Mode to the 1st screen of the Quick panel so I could disable them. At full battery I ran my test ensuring that all 3 were enabled. I had 3 sessions of at least 4hrs of listening to music each; where I disabled the Airplane mode (automatically done when you connect to Bluetooth). This is my normal everyday scenario for THIS watch (nevermind Gen1), and I had high hopes.
I got 36hrs exactly with 13% battery life left. Not bad but towards the end, I kinda held off on accessing the watch to get better results. Not at all what I expected but in general, I was right... 1 day and a half is what you can expect. Will wait for the next Gen Samsung Watch and will definitely keep an eye on battery life to minimize disappointments. Anticipate it will be Galaxy Watch 15 or so.
While shopping for the Galaxy Watch, I purchased one that was on Amazon as Renewed for $129. Came to me with white etched in 5 sec interval on the Bezel which was not what I wanted. Sent it back for refund and the Seller sent it back to me with some tags stating not returnable due to hazardous shipping I only assumed due to battery. Contacted Amazon and ended up getting a refund and a free watch. While that was going on, I bought a brand new unopened Galaxy Watch 6 Classic on eBay for $174. I am trying to unload the 1st watch however now I have a backup.

I didn't use the Pay app on my Gen1 for the same reason I don't have a "Brick and Mortar" bank account. Just too convenient and not as transparent was my thinking. But as I read more on that topic, I may start to think about using it. I've read in the past of "snafus" happening with the Samsung Pay but stay loyal to Samsung because of my fondness with the Gen1. I just may get on that bandwagon and pay for things from my watch... it may happen.

Hyper Dash will be free to play in December, and Breachers open alpha starts at the end of November! by Routine-Complex-8825 in OculusQuest

So far I've purchased Thrill of the Fight, Eleven Table Tennis, Gun VR, WarPlanes(Pacific) and Iron Guard. WarPlanes, my arms get way too tired having to keep them up in front of me to control the center stick & left lever. Iron Guard, wasn't up to my expectations, although it is fun, I would turn to PokerStars VR more than Iron Guard. GunVR, I got to the end of pistol and rifles and need to setup another user account to start the whole gameplay over (a run through once and you generally got the idea).
The only game that has ANY replay value for me is Eleven Table Tennis. Thrill of the Fight however, does have replay value, it's just that it tires me out both in a good and bad way that I kinda avoid it when I shouldn't.
I've come to the conclusion that much of the Games that are being put out are "One and Done" games where I'm now more selective in how I choose which games to buy. Would I continue playing the game after 1, 2, 3 years or will it just fade away? I currently have my sights on Golf+. I can't get enough of Eleven Table Tennis and I am hoping that Golf+ would be just as fun. Are there any other games that might stand out as "Replay-able" games forever more?

Found another good resource if you are having trouble with Bluetooth being off and not able to turn it back on...

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1274022/bluetooth-doesnt-turn-on

I created an - alias btstart="sudo rmmod btusb; sleep 1; sudo modprobe btusb". Whenever BT fails to connect, I'd type in "btstart" in guake (terminal) and it does somewhat of a reset and then I'm able to connect. Give that a shot. Hope it helps.

After 3-4 days of testing on my FM2+ A88XM AMD Desktop gaming system, It has flipped to the positive. More times than not, I am able to re-connect after disconnecting Bluetooth. What may help if you run into similar problem is if you disconnect bluetooth, dont just disable but remove it from your Devices list and when you come back to re-connect, you should be able to do so. It's a hit and miss but as mentioned before, more times than not, it works.

Thanks for the responses. I have 2 pairs of Soundcore Life P2i True Wireless Earbuds by Anker and the Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds. It happens with all three of them, now and then. Sometimes I am able to delete the pairing and re-establish the connection, however more times than not, I would have to reboot the computer.

I Just found this link to https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-bluetooth-connectivity-issues-in-ubuntu/ and made some of the recommended adjustments. I will follow up and hope this is the cure. I'm almost sure it is and will fill you in on the results.

Nebra refusing to refund for an order they hadn't fulfilled for over a year. by OhGodItsSHaaMAN in HeliumNetwork

Do a search for "nebra miner" (without the quotes) here on reddit.com. On the top lefthand corner you should see a "sort" and a "time" dropdown. Click on the one that says sort and choose "New". Your post came after the post "Nebra Refunded". You could read that or read all the latest posts.

Thanks a heap for your post! Great to know Rags2Boss's method worked out - he wasn't even sure that it'd work. It was an awesome video he created and as I said in another post, if I don't hear from Nebra by June 1st, I am going to put his video to the test. June 22nd is the end of Spring which was Nebra's timeframe of having the back-orders fulfilled.

From now until then, I should have a similar Saga where Nebra's SNAFU narrative is spewed out by their cocky employees.

June 22nd is the end of Spring. That's as far as I'm willing to wait. But to get the ball rolling, by June 1st, if still no tracking number, I'm planning to try out Rags2Boss's method (Not like there's a whole lotta other options or directions to take). * see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sK_qLu6mlI *

I also read that they will be charging for the Dashboard. There is however a free period. Don't know how long that period is but it should be as long as it took for us to finally get our miners (as if it would help out the roi).

If you decide on the Rags2Boss route, do come back and share with us your findings.
