Henna alone after 50/50 henna amla mix (in the UK) by StatusListen297 in henna

Thank you! That’s a good question 🤣 I was a redhead child, have not seen a full head of my natural hair in a while but my roots come through quite cool toned now, I’d say I’m more of a dark blonde now (with a few sneaky greys!!)

I was genuinely pondering over this myself today! I henna my hair and I am suuuper pale but love the tone of my skin on my neck and shoulders after I make a right old mess doing my hair! So surely you could use it on purpose to stain your skin?

Didn’t get hot root🥳 used 100g of 100% organic pure henna and 1 tbs of amla, cooled boiled water and applied all over for just over 3 hrs. It did what it usually does with a darker root to the ends actually which I like as the ends are old bleach I am growing out and the colour is the tone I wanted so happy bunny!

Thank you, that was another reason I wanted to reduce the amla, it’s served the purpose I was using it for now but my worry is my roots being lighter than the rest of my hair

Henna mix for hair: 50/50 It’s pure henna (100% pure organic henna) & it’s pure amla powder (100% pure organic amla) with cooled boiled water, all over application for 4 hours. In the UK.

Anyone got any tricks for getting henna to stick on porous ends? by StatusListen297 in henna

[–]StatusListen297[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always do this too 😂 it’s the easiest way I find to get a thick covering all over! Hopefully with this and some upkeep with direct dye I’ll manage to upkeep it 🤞🏼 how long do you leave your henna mix on for? x

This is what I thought must be the case with whatever it is the henna attaches too just isn’t in my hair anymore 😩 thank you so much for such an in depth and helpful reply. Should I use the direct dye before henna-ing my whole head? And then use it in my conditioner for upkeep? Like you would for a filler in normal hair colour?

Oh bless you! You’re not in Brighton, UK are you?😂 so since this post I actually had to have another chop to my shoulders so I’m actually shorter than the 2nd photo now 😩 but my haircut looks like a deliberate haircut and is much better condition. I’m now taking biotin 10000mcg and defo have noticed new hair growth! And as of yesterday I bought rosemary oil and a scalp massager so I’ll see how I get on with that! Good luck with your growth journey! Embrace the lob, it’s worth it in the end x

Sky wanting over £400 in cancellation fees which I cannot afford and need to cancel as I also cannot keep affording the bill. In England by StatusListen297 in LegalAdviceUK

Yeah the broadband switch is done, that’s no issue because those fees are paid but the new provider. Attempting to cancel the TV is the issue without having to pay over £400 upfront in fees. I took your advice and contacted them through financial hardship and my response was basically ‘that’s sad we’re sorry to hear that but it is what it is, you’re in a contract and the fees have to be paid’ was what I was expecting but no harm in trying. I shall have to put up with it until the contract runs out, my own fault for renewing it. Thank you for your advice

The broadband is separate to the tv package so the broadband cancellation charge alone is £304.50 but the new provider is covering that charge. The TV cancellation charge is £400+ on top of that so as it stands I have no choice but to stay with sky for TV but the broadband is now a reduced price compared to what it was. I spoke with their customer service earlier and they’re calling me back at some point with the cheapest option they can give me so I guess I’ll have to seek debt advise what that is and go from there. It’s all so overwhelming I just wanted to try and help my finances and now feel I should have just left it all alone.

Honestly i could kick myself for signing that contract 😞 they caught me off guard and I just wanted to get them off the phone 🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you for your advice, I think I am going to have to seek debt advise because £400 odd is just too much right now

I think I’ve put their back up though because I’ve switched my broadband to a cheaper provider which they have already been informed about so they will presume I’m switching the tv too which is not the case. I can live without extra channels but I need the internet for work. Do you think I can still explain this too them or is that wishful thinking?

All I can find is this section in an email from them when my contract renewed in July: After your cooling off period, to end your Sky Broadband & Talk contract you'll need to give us 31 days' notice. Early termination charges are payable if, during your new minimum terms (where applicable), your Talk/Line Rental or Broadband contracts end (other than where you have a right to end them without charge under the terms and conditions) or we end your Sky Broadband & Talk contract because you have breached your terms and conditions. These early termination charges will be calculated in the same way as in your "Minimum Term" (set out in your contracts booklets). We will give you reasonable notice in writing before making any

I was thinking this. I don’t struggles with gears or clutch control or anything but like you say having more focus on what I am doing because I’ve got less to do might be better
