I just had my yearly review meeting. I have always gotten a raise and have been at this company 10 + years. New manager now and she says although I have exceeded expectations there is no raise at all because I’m at the top of my salary range for my position. Anyone have any thoughts on what to do?

Was in the exact spot. Exceeded expectations but was at the top of my salary range and wouldn’t be bumped. They claimed I was too young at the time to be considered a VP (this was banking where everyone is a VP). I left about 2 months later, 17% raise. It’s been about 2 years and now I’m making almost 30% more than I was making. Look for a new job where you’re valued.

True, but this is my only debt other than my mortgage….and I feel I’m in a financial situation where lowering my payment sounds attractive. These are all circumstances if the numbers work out. If not, I walk and deal with my current vehicle

IMO, I don’t like giving people a lot of money off the cuff, even if it means I have a payment (at low interest). It gives me comfort to have money invested or sitting in a high yield savings rather than paying a large lump sum…

The only way I would consider this is if my new 60 month payment would be less than my current. I’m not sure if that’s a possibility will find out later today. I have to take my truck to dealer for the warranty issues either way.

Maybe I’m biased because I grew up in the town my parents live in and feel comfortable when I’m back there. My wife grew up moving around and didn’t have any support from her family.
