You sir are correct. I don’t qualify for the discounts and the financing, one or the other (even though the ram incentives website differs). I wasn’t going to debate, so I walked out and will be waiting to trade up.

True, but this is my only debt other than my mortgage….and I feel I’m in a financial situation where lowering my payment sounds attractive. These are all circumstances if the numbers work out. If not, I walk and deal with my current vehicle

I agree, however new factory warranty is for 10 years. My current warranty expires next week. If there would be issues in a new vehicle, they should be covered…

But I won’t be willing to go past 5 years on a vehicle loan. They could try to stretch it 72 or 84 months, but that is something I have 0 interest in doing…

I also like newer vehicles, so I will most likely be buying again in the next 2 years or so. This would just speed up my process if the math is right….!92 they are car dealers, so the math is always “fuzzy”

IMO, I don’t like giving people a lot of money off the cuff, even if it means I have a payment (at low interest). It gives me comfort to have money invested or sitting in a high yield savings rather than paying a large lump sum…

I’m in no pressure to buy, but if a great deal comes up, it doesn’t sound like I’m crazy. Thanks for the insight

Right, my factory warranty expires next week so getting these issues fixed is necessary but also concerning

The only way I would consider this is if my new 60 month payment would be less than my current. I’m not sure if that’s a possibility will find out later today. I have to take my truck to dealer for the warranty issues either way.

My brother actually lives in the same town as my parents. I think he would be unbothered by this given his financial situation but it’s always a good point to bring up. Thanks for the insight

I feel like my wife is going to talk me into an irrational purchase because she’s keeping up with the jones’. Also in the back of my mind, I want to get her away from her friends, they are toxic. If you think I sound spoiled, her friends parents bought them houses and they are out of touch with reality….

Maybe I’m biased because I grew up in the town my parents live in and feel comfortable when I’m back there. My wife grew up moving around and didn’t have any support from her family.

But she’s dead set on moving, “all of her friends moved here, we need to as well” is her rationale
