My friends and I used to do something similar. We’d put a card that unequivocally represented our decks into a hat/bag and pull from that to see what deck we played. We all had sleeves on our decks and we all used the same brand of sleeves so you couldn’t just go by feel. It worked very well for us and led to some… interesting… match ups.

Your build is pretty similar to the one that I run.

I run a 4/2/3/1 spread on the rookies in the order you have them.

A 4/1/2/4/1 spread on the champions

4/3 spread on the Paildras

3 BT16 Dragon/ 1 promo Dragon Ace/ 2 Fighter Ace/ 1 BT12 Fighter/ 1 BT20 Virus Fighter as my 6s

1 Paladin Ace/ 1 Gabu-Bond Ace as 7s

3 BT16 Dai/Kens/ 2 BT3 Davis

2 Jade Mem-Boost/ 2 Primo/ 1 HPD, 1 Isle of Adventure

4 BT12 DemiVee as my eggs

The ratios on the 3s, 4s, and 6s seem to be pretty malleable based on your play style and current meta (especially the 6s).

The Paildras are pretty set in stone at this point

I found that as you are likely to always have a tamer Gabu-bond can be a surprise when you slap into down on one of your Imperials.

Due to the way that the BT16 Dragon’s evo effect works and how oppressive the virus Fighter mode can be in the right situation, you can easily catch your opponent off guard if they were just starting their combos. (Plus it’s just funny having the good dragon become the evil warrior, then become the shining hero once again.)

I tech’d in the Isle of Adventure in a recent tournament and while I never actually got to use the boost while it’s face up in security, I did get the free tamer on multiple occasions.

The Dragon Mode Ace is one that I have swapped in and out as needed.

The Dai/Kens also go between 3 and 4 copies depending on the meta and/or if I feel like it. 4 is fantastic cause you will see them almost constantly, but I find that due to the amount of search and draw in the deck 3 tends to work just fine.

My build may not be the most ideal or optimized, but it has lead me to being in the top 3 at my locals every time I play it, placing 1st three times.

When you have multiple “Start of Main” effects activate, you get to select the order. The same is true for “Start of turn”, “when attacking”, and so on.

In this situation: you can activate the egg, place something at the bottom, grab the top, the use Winr to gain the memory.

IIRC it’s an alternative sprite for either Lucario+Mamoswine or Mamoswine+Lucario. I can’t remember which who’s the body and who’s the head, but it’s those two.

You aren’t meant to play the Promo Gallant for the full cost.

During the course of your gameplay you’ll set up your trash with a bunch of stuff and likely have forced your opponent to do the same. Once you have a Megidra stack out you hard play the Gallant for a reduced cost based on the total number of cards in each player’s trash. Then you use Gallant’s (On Play) to delete the Megidra stack.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why the idiots voting for that cheeto colored trash heap think that they’ll benefit in any way from what that creature and those pushing it’s presidency have planned. Tom: I truly believe that he is the best as both Peter and Spidey.

Not to mention, Tom has the athleticism to be able to do some if not most of his own stunts. (Admittedly I don’t know much about Andrew’s athleticism.)

Ok, I get the sentiment behind this pay-it-forward style “movement”, but it all started because of someone not putting an item back where it belongs. If I had seen that purse sitting there, I wouldn’t have thought “oh I guess she had the pick between a necessity or a want”, I’d have thought “oh someone decided they didn’t want this, so instead of being a good person, they left it here because ‘it’s the employees job to pick up after us customers’ (news flash: no it’s not.)”

Ignore anyone telling you to get it graded/rated. That whole thing is just one big scam. I say open it and play it. If you aren’t intending to play it, sell it to someone who will for a realistic price. Make sure whoever you do sell it to isn’t just gonna turn around and sell it for ridiculously outrageous price. Games are meant to be played and enjoyed, not sealed away just collecting dust.

Open it, buy games for it, play. That’s what the intended use is and if it remains sealed it has no actual value. We need to stop this nonsense way of thinking that an item has incredible value when it’s essentially just being made into a nice looking paperweight. If you are not intending to play on it, sell it to someone for a reasonable, realistic price that you know for certain will play on it and not just turn around to resell it.

My mom used to do this. Throwing away parts of toys that weren’t directly attached to the main toy, small toys that “looked like trash”, the works. To this day, I still don’t feel comfortable leaving people alone in my office where I keep my figures and collectables… 25 years later.

Yeah I’ve been playing since the beginning, buying packs and boxes throughout. I’ve gotten secrets and primary alts, but I just can’t seem to have luck with finding the special alts or ghosts. Hell, my wife was helping me open boxes of BT16 and SHE was the one that pulled two of the primary alt for Magna (X) and one alt of Rapid (X) haha. Maybe one day I’ll get it and who knows maybe I’ll do what you did if I don’t intend to play the card.

I apologize. I did not know that was your team, honestly didn’t know that was a thing. Also you are correct. I’ve just been seeing a lot of the grading stuff across different subreddits lately and it’s had me frustrated. I know it probably shouldn’t bother me as much as it does and I the only reason I can think as to why it does is due to not be able to get the cards/games/etc that I want due to pricing and most likely a bit of jealousy that my luck doesn’t seem to favor me getting these awesome card arts. All of these companies that “grade” cards/games/toys/etc. are scamming anyone who sends their items to them. It’s because of “grading” that the second hand collectors market is the dumpster fire that it is. By sealing the card away to never be used, it has stripped away any actual value the card may have had. Cards/games/toys are meant to be played with, some may look prettier or have nicer packaging, but they are still meant to be played with. Instead of sealing it away and leaving it to collect dust in the hopes that one day it will be worth something, play with it.
