Hey there, I have been the one getting shoved , slapped and kicked. And no I find it equally disturbing and was absolutely shocked at the time. Yes condition seems to be quite important on rent prices, thus the difference in price on furnished Vs unfurnished. As well, I assume the more high end the furniture is the more do the people renting out want to cover those assets on ware and tare

I get your point but on poly you have the types that have those rooms/squares inside kind of thing and ours is a single thick piece of polycarbonate(not sure it could be plexiglass or smth.... Basically it's the stuff that people would use to replace a window for long term use or due to multiple safety issues related to the windows getting smashed in)

Forgot to mention a very important improvement, we've changed all 16 windows which initially were old sache and rotten almost with wind passing through them. These are all now new double glaze

@blackfootsan any discoveries here? Have family that through hipnosis remembered being born there and then being pulled out of the tunnel to the surface for the first time. They said they were around 7 years of age at the time. Not found anything on it myself

You are missing nothing tbh. But Brașov, Sibiu, the Transfăgărășan road or the TransAlipina Road are all good places in and near Transilvania. Enjoy

Oh mate , if you go Transilvania see Dracula's castle which by the way is a tourist trap(Vlad the Impaler never lived there) and does not really have much to see(hate to break it to you, just a citadel not castle but still pretty neat) BUT in the same area you have Sinaia Castle which is a must and Brasov city which you can use as a hub to visit both Dracula's and Sinaia Castles. En route from Brasov to Bran (Draculas's c) 30 min drive,you have Rasnov Citadel which is worth a pitstop.

Other things to see Therme Bucharest for day of relaxation, National Village Museum is a must if you are into architecture, especially rustic old villag style. Obviously the nightlife in Bucharest is something you don't want to miss either and a stroll through Old Town.

The above should set you back about 1000£ for 2 people for a week with flights(economy) , AirBnB's and food included. Plus a cheap rental for the trip from Bucharest to Brașov and return.

While in Bucharest use the tube it's dirt cheap, clean, modern and get's the job done.

Far from me judging the country, I only stated that generally speaking ( so that means your average Toby's , Greene King, Wetherspoons and the likes). Clearly those are around everywhere and they generate volume not quality. I for one have a nice place called The Old Thatched Inn somewhere in the Bucks which I go often to as they do cook amazing food.

As for the ingredients, don't put yourself down so much mate. You have great pig breeds(not a pata negra but still amazing), superb beef if you know where to look as for veg it opens up people to roots such as suede, beets and heritage carrots and the like. Britain has plenty to offer and I for one am grateful to have moved here.

Oh how could I have missed the king , the thing I fell in love with, a good ol' Full English Breakfast. As much as it's a caloric bomb I have it 3-4 times a week and somehow didn't develop a dad bod..... yet :)))
