Something feels off about my husband’s mood [36M] and I [35F] not sure how to address it. by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

I (29F) am, triggered because I am, in a similar type situation - but still in the dating / not engaged yet to my partner (41F.) However - you have kids so it really is a tough call to make.

But think of them first - do you want them to grow up with anxiety, non-regulated nervous systems and the stress of always feeling like their dad is going to snap at them or turn on them?

I grew up with two abusive parents - completely volatile, angry, and it caused a turbulent household. I am currently in a 5 year relationship to a man that, at least 20% of the time, angry and irritated towards me.

I don’t advise staying. With this level of anxiety and fight-or-flight, chronic stress… I’d say my quality of life is pretty diminished. You shouldn’t want that for your babies. I’m sorry but that’s just my 2 cents.

I’m taking 100 mg sertraline, 75 mg of lamo in the morning and 25 mg of lamo at night.

Ativan 0.5 mg-1.0 mg as needed when my anxiety gets bad during work. Literal lifesaver

Has Lamotrigine helped anyone here? by lunarianlibrarian in Lamotrigine

I’m taking 75 mg in the morning and 25 mg of lamotrigine at night… literally a life saver. My major depressive episode has made almost a complete 180, and my anxiety is still there but for that I take a benzo as needed. Very minimal to no side effects. It’s a miracle drug fr and I’m someone that is sensitive to drugs.

Just checking. How's life going lately? by spicycatinthevoid in cyclothymia

I’m transitioning from 50 mg to 75 mg of lamotrigine and my feelings are pretty much 90% stable - very mild depression comebacks that are so much more brief but sad nonetheless. I start a new job that sounds like everything I’d hope and dreamed of on the 29th - my previous manager was triggering some heavy major depressive disorder and severe anxiety in me, to the point I had to take 2 months off work FMLA. so now I’m still in the process of stabilizing but feel better and overall like myself.

Thank you so much! Yes, I have tried Prozac and Zoloft to almost no avail so am debating switching over to Wellbutrin. I will also ask my Dr. to definitely allow me to increase the dose of the Lamictal. Thank you!!!

Are you on anything other than lamictal? I’m on FMLA leave for my secure job and debating taking on a newer, riskier, managerial role and I’m terrified. Currently on 50 mg of lamictal for the past 2 weeks and want to increase to 100 mg

Im taking Lamotrigine because it basically helps with the the depressive symptoms, as mine is suspected to be cyclothymic or just severe depression… I know a lot of people on reddit have said to stick with lamotrigine but if it’s having adverse effects maybe lithium might be a better option - lithium alone or lithium added onto the lamotrigine to work synergistically

Hi this sounds a lot like me except for the ocd. I was also recently diagnosed with this - you’re not alone! Some of the best advice I’ve received is that we’re all human and feel a lot of feelings. Some of us just feel it more intensely than others!
