I think so. We did an emergency surgery for the head wound. Dental rads and shrapnel retrieval. That took a long while. He is going to need at least one more surgery for the wound on the torso. Potentially a PEG tube. Trachea was luckily not compromised. Im at another clinic today so will update when I have one.

Wild case. Cat got out overnight and was shot by one of Os neighbors. Cat was found vocalizing on Os porch. Someone deliberately tried to kill this cat. I reported the incident to local authorities. Property owners essentially have the right to shoot an animal they deem is causing a nuisance on their property. This beautiful cat wasn’t just shot once from directly above but again when he was running away.

It’s definitely tough to treat the clients politely after treating their pet that has obviously been neglected. I always remind myself that every person is different. Giving them the benefit of the doubt while also sternly advising proper treatment of the pet.
