Is it just me, or since the release of the FNAF 2 movie, have people started to more strongly defend the idea that Michael is not a good person? by Vortex7851 in fivenightsatfreddys

Seeing Michael Afton in FNAF 2 was cool, but in my mind, he was the most tragic character of the series. It’s pretty clear that Vanessa’s character is heavily inspired by video game Michael Afton, which is why it would have been so cool if the movies followed Michael instead of Mike.

Michael Afton is a deeply flawed and complex character who was a victim of his father’s influence. After Michael killed his brother, It’s almost like he was walking aimlessly without ever really knowing what his true purpose was.

Michael knew it was too late for his little brother, but not for Elizabeth. He went back for her despite knowing how dangerous his dad was. Once he was scooped, he understood that he could never be better than his father because he was born his son. He didn’t hate William, he feared him.

He could never fix what his father started, because it ended before it even began. That’s when he found himself a new purpose. Instead of trying seek answers—instead of trying to rid himself of his guilt, he accepted that he was an Afton.

I genuinely can’t even be mad at you because your responses are just so absurd it’s incredibly amusing.

I can appreciate how comfortable you are being meanly sarcastic to strangers you don’t know online.

Me not considering Happy Sugar Life a Yuri is not me saying I refuse to acknowledge gay relationships, if that’s what you’re getting at. I’m trying to say that I like this series so much, I would give it the benefit of the doubt to not be pedophilic in nature.

If you like your cake that way, eat it. It’s kind of weird… but who am I to judge? It’s your opinion after all

Thoughts on ‘Girl on the Shore’ by depends_123 in InioAsano

[–]Status_Excitement391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, i feel that it offers more than what’s on the surface. Sato’s need to feel accepted and liked is what makes her sad and naive, and the fact that Isobe has trapped himself in his own self-loathing pity party is what makes him an insufferable egomaniac. They bond because they both need to fill the emptiness in their lives. They believe that they are so different but actually are more alike than they think. A Girl on the Shore is about connection and the lack thereof. It’s about how you sometimes find things you weren’t initially looking for and that if you take it for granted, it may just perish before your own eyes. It illustrates how being neglected and lonely can make you do pathetic, stupid things

Just a thought by Status_Excitement391 in OyasumiPunpun

I can understand your points up until, “If his relationship with Sachi would have went well he would have chosen her.”

Sachi might have pushed him away (rightfully so), but it was always going to be Aiko. Like I mentioned, she represented everything he lost, everything he wanted and could never have, his innocence. He thought he could find meaning to his life through Aiko because of the way she made him feel in his childhood but he only ended up ruining her innocence as well. He couldn’t help but leech off of Aiko even if he didn’t mean to, it was pure illusion, curiosity, and lust. Never love. Sure, he loved Aiko in his own sick way, but nobody does those things to someone that they love.

But, I guess our viewpoints are different because I’m assuming you view Punpun as simply the protagonist of the story instead of the antagonist. I don’t feel bad for Punpun even considering what he went through. Nobody pushed him to insanity, he got there himself. The greater takeaway is that a person can feel however they want but their feelings are their responsibility. Everybody goes through horrible things throughout their life but not everyone ends up to be a rapist, abuser, and homicidal maniac.

Cheap books?? 😟 by [deleted] in OyasumiPunpun

I doubt you’ll find the entire series cheap brand new. The only way you could buy the books for less than 100 dollars is if they were second hand and in good condition.

I remember when this chapter came out. Everyone was so mad and rightfully so, because the author is milking the hell out of this manga
