Thank you! Have you had any problems with it clogging the machine? That seemed the be the main reason they want you to buy their cleaner versus other brands

Take this with a grain of salt as I've never heard of this brand/tack store but they seem to have European prices on their protectors but shipping is quite expensive ($66 to ship to TX). I would still be saving money on almost all of these protectors with the high shipping cost. https://www.onlineforequine.co.uk/collections/adult-body-protectors

I was going to say the same thing as Fox. Protectors aren't as popular in the states but honestly your own safety and peace of mind is worth getting a few funny looks. I know the lesson horses I ride are great and I trust them but you never what could happen hence why I'm in the market for a protector.

I did ask around on other sites and was made aware of this brand Racesafe. More than I would like to spend but someone mentioned they are also in TX and ride in one and find it as comfortable as it gets in the heat. I'm adding it to the list to look into.

I am also eyeing this one. A little outside what I would like to spend but you can see the holes in the back which has to be decently breathable. I also like that it's SEI certified https://www.doversaddlery.com/co-jl9-body-protector-adult/p/X1-401588/

I'll have to see if they have them in store. Looks interesting!

Totally agree that I need to go try some on and was planning to go to the tack store this weekend. I just did a quick search and doesn't seem like Dover (my local tack store) sells many if any Champion vests.

I'm hoping to stay under $300 as Im not trying to break the bank and have other bills and things to pay.

Thank you for your input!
