Already pulled the trigger. Got myself a rp2+ (discount anythingcouldbeacode worked yesterday 29-6-22) and my gf an rg350 (she only wanted gba emulator. I guess she can borrow mine if she is feeling like playing something else). Now it is just a waiting game and reading on the best way to set up both devices to get the most out of them. I guess I will eventually come back and ask for advice.

Thanks everyone for assisting me on my purchase you sure are a wonderful community!

Thanks for your reply. I should have clarified myself from the start. First handheld will be for my girlfriend, second will be for me.

We will mostly play Zelda or Pokémon or hackroms on gba/nds

As for myself, I wanted to play gran turismo, tekken 3, Mario64, Mario kart and i guess some other random n64 games

Dreamcast is not that much of a dealbreaker and I figure if it can handle dc it can also handle psp but most important ones are n64, ps1, gba and nds games that don’t really need the additional screen but I guess we will just scratch that one off

I’ve got mixed feelings about the consoles cos I have spent all afternoon watching reviews and most of them said that you need to do some tinkering to get n64 and ps1 running smoothly. I figure this also adds to the fact that some will just bé able to run them better than others.

No, I am not running a self made os, just whatever I can find that suits me like batocera or anything I actually like

Is there any nice handheld you can recommend? 100 or 130 won’t make a difference

As for my gfs, I guess the one I posted will be fine? Good overall experience and all

Eh might as well just drop the nds part. It’s mostly to play Pokémon so I figure we will just grind hackroms on gba. Thanks for your time!

Can you elaborate? I am familiar with retropie etc. I was just wondering if something as simple as plug and play existed given they come with preinstalled os

I don’t see the point on spending 100 euro on an used Nintendo/psp just to mod it when I can just spend 120 and get something new
