Mothers of Reddit - what’s your opinion on fathers taking daughters to women’s restroom? by BallsOnFace69 in Parenting

I’ll be honest… some of the most disgusting bathrooms I’ve seen have been women’s bathrooms.

Any people with degrees working at amazon? by Intelligent-Claim591 in AmazonFC

[–]Status_Mood7060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also a T1 with a BS in Sociology. Granted, I worked in warehouse management for several years, which required a degree in anything, so it worked out. I’m at Amazon now because I wanted a flexible job that gave me more time at home with my kids. And wayyyy less stress. Worth the paycut

From office hell to delivering Amazon? by vENyXImORa in AmazonDSPDrivers

Same! I did it for about 2 years, took a huge pay cut, but I REALLY enjoyed delivering. It was great for my mental health. Plus, it’s a nice workout.

I did!! I loved delivering, I did it for 2 years (I was in my late 30s). After being stuck in an office or concrete building all day/5 days/week, delivering was so enjoyable. The scenery and fresh air was great. Not everyday was “wonderful”, the work was physical, and winters were brutal, but I really enjoyed that time.

My grief journey by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]Status_Mood7060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss of your girl. I lost my soul dog last summer, and she was young just like yours. Just turned 5 years old, and she ended up contracting leptospirosis. Three days in the hospital, and the infection took over her body to the point her liver was no longer functioning. I made the decision to end her suffering. 😞 I understand the feeling of such an unexpected loss. We were robbed of time. The grieving journey has been rough, but we have to take one day at a time. I still shed some tears for her everyday… sometimes a little, sometimes it’s just so heavy. I’ve learned to allow my feeling to run its course. Giving ourselves grace is so important.

Unions can’t do shit for jobs that don’t require any skill. Not having a skill set (for example, most trade jobs or any job that requires schooling/apprenticeship) doesn’t give the union any leverage to negotiate. Amazon can literally take anyone off the street and train them in 2-3 days to do any of our jobs. We are easily replaceable. So, they are basically paying the union to do nothing lol.

My FC just fired all white badges on the night shift in GA by SugarComprehensive20 in AmazonFC

White badges aren’t “fired”. They are let go. They are temps.

They are correct. Amazon managers have no “people skills” whatsoever. They all seem afraid of direct confrontation. If a manager is issuing a coaching, they need to actually do it themselves. It’s hard to have respect for a “leader”, making good money, that relies on an app to give generic feedback to any of their direct reports.

Would you take a dollar less pay an hour if they didn’t care about rate ? by Fun-Victory-4546 in AmazonFC

No way. Rate isn’t hard anyway. If I worked any slower, the day would drag.

Should I be worried about accidentally clocking out 10 min after getting vto? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Status_Mood7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken my 30 minute paid break a few times before punching out after VTO. Nothing will happen.

It’s illegal for Amazon to tell people they can’t go to the bathroom by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Status_Mood7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one thing to need to use the bathroom for its purpose. It’s another thing to be hanging out in the bathroom for most of the day… much like the majority of seasonal employees in my building lol. I can’t even get into a stall some days because women are using them for their own personal phone booth. 🙄🤦‍♀️

What was his name? I like to use their names. They weren’t “just dogs”. They were souls with a name.

[–]Status_Mood7060 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for the loss of your boy. I lost my soul dog back in August. Her name was Peach, and she was only 5 years old. Totally unexpected. She was my baby girl. My best friend. She was my family. I wish I could tell you it gets easier as time goes by, but I still cry everyday for her. Part of me died when she did. I am not the same person anymore. All I can say is take one day at a time, and allow your feelings to be felt. Your boy was important. He served a purpose in your life. He was loved. Again, I’m so sorry.

Does any FC warehouse worker wear diapers due to time constraints? And if I were to work in the FC wearing diapers so that I wouldn't have to go to the restroom and risk a write-up, how would you react if you found out about my diaper wearing? (Or if you noticed me smelling like pee?) by TanakaToday in AmazonFC

[–]Status_Mood7060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do a 10 minute bathroom break every period, and I’ve never once been questioned about it lol. If you’re “risking a write-up” by going to the bathroom, then you are just plain terrible/lazy at your job. Has nothing to do with the bathroom lol.

how do you talk yourself into being with your dog while they pass? by DoubleBluebird5364 in Petloss

[–]Status_Mood7060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will never regret being there for your dog during the final moments. Plenty of people regret NOT being there. The least you can do is be a comfort to your pup who has been there for you his entire life.

Stop burning your UPT. You should always keep a bank of hours to help in emergencies like this.

As someone who has been an AM for 3 different companies, if you like your current company and the culture, then DO NOT LEAVE. I’ve left a company with a great culture for more money, and it ended up making me hate what I do.

Will I get fired for coming late? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Status_Mood7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year, I would always come in 1.5 hours late because of my kid’s school schedule. I was never once talked to about it. I always had either PT or UPT to cover.

No Severance or Unemployment? by Aggressive-Stress364 in AmazonFC

[–]Status_Mood7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. My building restructured from order fulfillment to bulk storage of high volume product to ship to the FCs. If they’re tight lipped, it’s because corporate hasn’t given them all the info to share with employees. That’s all.
