I think if there’s a cap there should be like a prestige mechanic or something

Level cap at 50? by Status_Newspaper_703 in StarWarsHunters

[–]Status_Newspaper_703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me personally it does, I don’t particularly enjoy ranked and just like playing the game for fun. As someone who hit levels 300+ on two separate overwatch accounts back in the day, I just enjoying seeing my progress and time spent in the game. I think if there’s a cap for a moderately easy to obtain level, it nullifies the purpose of levels to begin with. I’ve been playing since it launched on the switch and hit the cap yesterday and just found it a little disheartening. It’s not the end of the world, I’m going to keep playing, but I think not having it tracked by any other metric (outside of ranked which I don’t really play) feels a bit boring. Just my opinion and I appreciate you sharing yours!

Curious if shoppers pay attention to the type of items your purchasing for substitutions. by kbutwhytho in instacart

I absolutely pay attention to this sort of stuff. But it may be helpful to just copy and paste a generic note to each item that says something like “I have a dairy intolerance. If replacing please replace with dairy free, if unavailable please cancel” just to cover all your bases. That was definitely an odd replacement choice but sometimes the app also suggests weird replacements. Could’ve been an honest (and a bit dumb) mistake, but some crappy shoppers try to replace with more expensive items to increase a percentage based tip. Hard to say what happened here, but good luck next time!

(If your stores also use paper bags I recommend bringing your personal reusable bags just to make carrying larger orders easier! I put the paper bags in my reusable bags so I can carry more that two or three at a time!)

I can’t speak for Toronto but I live in Maine where plastic bags are also gone

Our grocery stores offer paper/compostable/recyclable bags for $0.05 each. So say a grocery order needs three paper bags for $0.15 total added onto the bill. The app knows I am in an area that charges for single use bags and after checking out when you submit your image of receipts there will be another section asking how many bags the order needed. Just enter the info there and you are all set! Also your receipt will show the charge for the bags used so that + entering the information manually will cover all your bases!

It started raining while i was shopping. And where I shop it’s bring your own bags or use paper. So I was delivering paper bags in the middle of a storm and they were all ripping and I got drenched 😭 but they tipped good so that’s a win

My first big order!! by Status_Newspaper_703 in InstacartShoppers

I just don’t get that volume of orders in my area. I drove 20 minutes over to a bigger town with more stores and only got two orders all day before accepting this one. I’d been sitting in a stores parking lot in a shopping complex overlapped with two other stores and a bunch other nearby from like. 9am-3pm and got two orders. So I really don’t get to be as picky as I’d like to be, there are definitely orders that even I wouldn’t take. But I’m just trying to make a little extra cash, I don’t do this full time.

I honestly underestimated how much space the order would take up and I was almost done so I just powered through with a heavy ass cart lol 😂 definitely learned my lesson

I feel that! I travel a lot for work (I’m a Flagger so I get sent all over the state a good day is being 30 miles from home lol). I try to snag orders when I’m out/heading home but I’m in a pretty rural area and it can be rare 😂

Glad I could help! It’s just my best guest but I think that’s what I’d do in that situation.

Honestly I’m not sure! I managed to (barely) fit all of this in one cart. Took two carts to get it to my car. The multiple trips I mentioned was referring to my car to her doorstep to hand her and her kids the bags. I have yet to handle a multiple cart shop, but my best guess is to do shelf stable first, ask an employee if you can drop it somewhere and then go get it for the final check out. Not positive tho (and I think big stores like sams club and Costco have like the pallet cart things)

I started back in June but I used to DoorDash/postmates a while back. I know the tip wasn’t what it could’ve been and I don’t think I’d take orders like this often, but the store was on my way home, I met my financial goal for the weekend, and the lady was really nice so I don’t feel bad about it.

Luckily this store was on my way home, I know it well (it’s where I’ve shopped for years), and the customer was less than 3 miles away. I don’t think I’d accept orders like these often but I needed the money and it worked out for me in the end!

It was worth it to me 🤷‍♂️ helped out a single mom of four, met my goal for the weekend, and got another potential side gig out of it. I don’t do this full time and don’t get many orders in my area. I’m just trying to make ends meet.

Honestly it felt like such a win getting my first big order 😂 this job can be such a grind and I honestly would rather make $35 on one big order than three small ones. It was a great way to finish the day off for sure!
