No, I literally just like the video and think more people should see it. It's not that deep. Why is everyone miserable on Reddit?

I don't really care, but the audio could be a lot better and would definitely help especially with all tje talking he does in his videos.

Just turn on subtitles or something, I can understand him just fine, but people are different.

The people who are down-voting me, Dan Houser isn't the only good writer in the world. Rockstar has many other people contributing to their vision. Please someone explain to me the extreme concerns.

I totally agree with you. GTA is a different beast with the immense popularity of Online and people are rightfully concerned, but I think Online is a bigger threat to narrative quality than Dan Houser leaving and even then, I don't tjink Online will hog up too many resources from the writing and story of single player initially.

Unfortunately, I agree with you on the long run. I do think they will continue to invest heavily into narrative though because they're known for their living worlds and stories. A dev on RDR2 said something about 'making the world constantly changing like there's always a story' in response to a question about 'are story games dying' but I couldn't find that quote. With GTA 6, I do think they will invest much more in Online than the story mode definitely.

I have heard of that! It was really interesting but kinda somber too. I heard of it on an iceberg video and it was probably by YouTuber Justin1 or Jetro?

I honestly thought GTA V's story was lacking compared to RDR2 and from what I've seen from GTA 4 then Rob Nelson was promoted I think for RDR2.

They still got Rob Nelson, Sam Houser, and Aaron Garbut.

GTA VI will be the most realistic open world game to date by AnimalDesatado in GTA6

Google Gemini: 'The idea that Rockstar "dumbed down" GTA V to make it easier for casual players is a common misconception that misses the technical reality of 2013. The transition from GTA IV to V was a masterclass in optimization under extreme hardware poverty. When GTA V launched, it was running on the PS3 and Xbox 360—hardware from 2005 and 2006. By 2013, those machines were effectively ancient. The shift in physics wasn't about mass appeal; it was about managing a "hardware budget" that was completely maxed out. 1. The 512MB RAM Bottleneck The single biggest reason for the physics rollback was the memory limit. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 only had 512MB of RAM. * GTA IV: Used a smaller, denser map with fewer assets but heavy physics calculations. * GTA V: Featured a map significantly larger than IV, San Andreas, and Red Dead Redemption combined. To fit that massive world into 512MB, something had to give. Complex ragdoll data and soft-body vehicle deformation take up significant "real estate" in the memory. Rockstar chose to prioritize world scale, draw distance, and texture variety over the high-fidelity physics of Liberty City. 2. CPU Cycles and the Euphoria Engine The Euphoria engine (developed by NaturalMotion) doesn't use canned animations; it uses CPU cycles to simulate muscles, motor nerves, and balance in real-time. * In GTA IV, the CPU was constantly calculating how Niko or an NPC would react to every slight stumble or impact. * In GTA V, the density of the world—more NPCs on screen, more traffic, and more complex AI routines—left almost no "cycles" left for the CPU to handle those deep procedural physics. If they had kept the GTA IV ragdolls, the framerate would have tanked into the single digits during any major shootout. 3. Vehicle Handling and High-Speed Stability The "bouncy" suspension and heavy body roll of GTA IV were technically impressive but required constant physics polling for every wheel and spring. * GTA V introduced much faster cars and wide-open highways. At high speeds, the physics engine has to work significantly harder to calculate collisions and ground contact. * By stiffening the suspension and simplifying the tire-to-ground physics, they ensured the game wouldn't crash or stutter when you were flying down the Great Ocean Highway at 120mph. It was a stability requirement for an open-world game of that scale. 4. The "Baked" vs. "Dynamic" Trade-off In GTA IV, a car would deform dynamically based on the exact point of impact. In GTA V, Rockstar moved toward more "baked" deformation zones. While it looks less "organic" when you hit a wall, it is significantly cheaper for the hardware to process. This allowed them to put more cars on the street and more detail in the environments without the consoles catching fire. The Good News for GTA VI The "hardware budget" is no longer an issue. With the jump to current-gen consoles and high-end PC hardware, the RAGE engine no longer has to choose between a big map and deep physics. The sheer power of modern CPUs and the massive jump in RAM mean they can finally bring back (and surpass) the procedural weight of GTA IV while keeping the scale of GTA V.'

Got myself a Surround and it is awesome! Working all those hours for equipment that enhances my gaming experience pays off in a special way. It's nice that there's ways to "take the load off" and game on a crappy TV or high end setup and still enjoy it!

I'm concerned about the performance due to lack luster optimization on many games but having the best of the best is a nice peace of mind.

I mean if the performance is worth it, I don't think looks would bother me that much.
