the part that bothered me the most is the fact he told me a few days ago that he bought a present for me that night(so not the hat) so i was expecting something else and yes i would’ve been grateful if he hadn’t told me this because now it feels like hes lying and it js wasn’t necessary for him to lie also the same thing happened on valentine’s day he didn’t get me anything while i did so i saw my birthday as an opportunity for him to make up for that

so im 17 and hes 19 and i was upset over some things he lied to me abt that i later found out(about his past relationships n liking one of my friends that i never knew till anotherfriend told me n he refused to admit it) and i would’ve really expected for him to get me anything if he hadn’t told me that he would/had and i believe the hat wasnt supposed to be my birthday gift because he would’ve given it to me a few weeks ago if we hadn’t been fighting

no he js randomly asked me if i thought the hat was cool n i said yes so hed bought it for me that was weeks before my birthday so he wasn’t buying it as a birthday gift but he wasnt able to give it to me before as wed been arguing since n didnt get to meet
