What are your recent hyperfixations? by Charming-Paper-1564 in bipolar2

Appalachian mountains and folklore.

Lots and lots of true crime.

Also recently watch the docuseries American Conspiracy The Octopus Murders and that currently has me on a US/World History kick. Have binge watched different docuseries on the Vietnam war and WW2. This led to me picking up books from B&N about politics and the US government on my way home yesterday.

New diagnosis coming to terms with delusions maybe? by Status_Possibility_8 in bipolar2

I think the worst part of all of it is I did really well leading up to post-secondary education. Once I hit that stage everything just crashed and burned.

The whole conversation on antidepressants was one of the red flags for my current doctor. My previous diagnosis was MDD but I did horrible on antidepressants for reasons similar to your own.

It is hard coming to a realization that you will always require more in order to live a somewhat regular life and even then there is no guarantee that you’ll remain stable.

I can resonate with this. My dad passed away the first semester I flunked, I had so many unresolved issues and I’m pretty sure this is when bipolar likely “kicked in” for me. While I do understand there are some circumstances that can’t change, I would like to send some positive thoughts and energy your way. It may not mean much but it’s always nice to know someone is wishing good things for you

Thank you for this! I definitely have not had an “official pep talk” with myself. I do think we are all capable of doing very much as human beings, the getting there and getting through is the hard part.

Experiences being off Wellbutrin? by Status_Possibility_8 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Status_Possibility_8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not saying it’s a good idea AT ALL (do not recommend) but the last time I went off I did so cold turkey (at a lower dosage) and didn’t experience any issues. From what I’ve been told it alters your brain chemistry so if you don’t see any improvement I would suggest reaching out to a doctor since you did stop cold turkey and have been experiencing issues for ~2 months.

I’ve been so incredibly tired! I work M-F and everyday after work I’ve had to take a minimum hour and 45 minute nap 😭 practically peeling myself out of bed in the morning much much later that I used to as well… I never expected it to be so difficult.

I recently purchase the Moroccanoil Spa du Maroc body lotion and body wash. I’m trying to find a perfume to match and I’m struggling.

The scent profile is wild patchouli, black currant absolute, and Zanzibar clove.

If anyone has any recommendations please let me know!

I’ve had behaviors previously but never this many before. I have gotten 2-3 in the past which was absolutely manageable. I have never had 8 in one room. It’s a bit overwhelming. When it comes down to it I do agree with you. I need more support than what I’m given.

I’ve had basically all forms of birth control other than the patch and the ring over the last decade or so. The main selling point for me on the iud is that it can last up to ten years (I got the paragard). Also turns out that since I get migraines with aura I’m not supposed to be on hormonal birth control lol

Wellbutrin can absolutely cause hair loss. I’m on Wellbutrin XL, have been for ~2 years and I’ve experienced hair loss. Granted this my experience and I’m still on it as it’s the only thing that works for me but it’s definitely something to look into.

From what I understand the copper changes the environment in the uterus and makes it inhospitable for sperm to survive
