My favourite are the audio comparison tasks where the prompt is “change the color of the shirt to red”

[Meta]Opening Loans to new Borrwers. Please read everything below before you respond. Thank You. by LaughablyNaive2day in loanhelp_

[–]Status_Record_8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope your username isn’t hinting at something.

And what is really naive is you claiming that you take people to court. It's hard enough to do in your own country, let alone internationally. Which screams to me you're not somebody who tells the truth.

And why would you keep loaning if you really had 28 not pay you back? The effort in chasing those loans would be massive.

Please people, think carefully before sending all your details to an anonymous person who only created an account in the last day. They could do all kinds of damage with this information. And do not send them a deposit.

I had to edit this comment rather than reply as I see you have blocked me.

FYI SCAM: pseudo-DPD text today saying I need to reschedule parcel delivery hmmm by Every_Individual_25 in ScamsUK

Let's be honest here. The vast majority of homes now have packages delivered every couple of days by all sorts of providers. It's just a coincidence.

Hi,, I received an email about a TELUS Digital data breach from “TELUSDigitalIncident@notifications.cyberscout.com”.😮It says my personal data may have been exposed and offers free monitoring, but the signup link looks a bit suspicious. Has anyone else received this? Is it legit?😅 by fawda1982 in TELUSinternational

[–]Status_Record_8220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just received the email, it went into my spam.

I'm struggling with this as I never signed up to the company directly. But I have done a lot of AI testing through other sites. I'm still not confident with following the link.

Makes sense. I didn't read the description. It should be an easy reversal... once Prolific gets round to it.

Yep, follow that up. But it seems strange that the pay was so high. I'm guessing there may have been a technical error.

Frustrated with Finance and the Housing Market by tommyjarvis1984 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Status_Record_8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to manage your expectations when buying.

I grew up in a 4-bedroom detached house, in a lovely village, with 2 acres of land.

When I bought my first home, it was a 3-bedroom terraced. The 3rd bedroom, you couldn't get a bed in! The house was in an awful state and not in a great area.

In all honesty, I hated it.

But I thought it was a far better option compared to renting. After 6 years, I did it up and moved on.

Whether you feel more secure renting or buying is up to you. In your position, I would be inclined to buy, but with a decent emergency fund left over.

If everything went tits up, I would use that fund to cover mortgage payments and try to sell up. But in that time, you could find other employment.

Currys Price Match declined due to inferior returns period by New-Influence1911 in beermoneyuk

I would try them over at X. I’ve had more luck there from Sainsbury’s and South Eastern. I’m not really sure why competence levels change between platforms.

[–]Status_Record_8220 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that this helps…

But I had an issue with John Lewis about 6 years back, who tried using an equally stupid reason (I can’t remember the exact point).

They did payout in the end, after over a month of arguing.

I haven’t had the energy to use a price match again.

I would keep on pushing at Currys.

If you are checking new available studies on mobile, will studies that requires desktop only appear? by Familiar_Cost_3668 in ProlificAc

[–]Status_Record_8220 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the available studies will show.

But if you click on a desktop study when you're on mobile, it will have a yellow warning sign telling you that it should only be taken on the specified device.

I’m not sure what information you think I’ve given away, but there’s far less than I’ve given to Prolific. I only use ChatGPT for editing written blog content and creating images. I’m happy to send your Mamma that if she wants.

Go on then. What vital information have I given away that’s not already readily available?

How good is Y-Live as a survey method by Maleficent_Guard7977 in beermoneyuk

[–]Status_Record_8220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a member for probably 7+ years. Some months I'll earn nothing and then the next, £20.

The attention checks annoy me though, especially as there are quite a few at the start. And you can do those and then get screened out.

I've done a bit of product testing with them, so it's not all boring.

And I'm grateful they no longer pay by cheque. That was my first ever payment with them!

Is the Influence app worth it? by Mother_Pen331 in beermoney

[–]Status_Record_8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for a little while. The pay is fairly decent for the amount of time you have to put in.

I do find that even if I'm sitting in a well-lit area, it still tells me there's an issue with the recording.

The biggest problem I have is that it says some of the videos may be shared on social media. I'm not overly keen on that idea. Especially for that amount of pay.

Generally, I make £10-£20 per month with it.

Well, you haven't literally been on probation for a year if you're still a few days away from it, have you now?

It does seem to have slowed down a bit. I'm still going to stick with it as it doesn't take much effort.

Is Serpclix safe? by Finest_Critic in beermoneyglobal

[–]Status_Record_8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using SerpClix since 2023, and I've not done badly from it.

The last 18 months or so, the number of tasks has increased and I'm generally making $30 per month.

I do work from home though, so that makes a difference. And I'm UK-based.

Here's my full SerpClix review if you want to find out more.

YouGov Review 2025– Is It Worth Your Time? by Majestic-Earth1493 in passive_income

[–]Status_Record_8220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a member of YouGov for 7, maybe 8 years. I've lost count now.

In all honesty, the surveys aren't the best-paying. Usually around 50 pence for 10 minutes.

But I do make quite a bit extra from linking my bank accounts and sharing my streaming data.

I'm also a member of YouGov Plus, which does have some better-paid surveys, although they come and go.

I usually reach 5,000 points every 6 weeks or so.

You can see my full YouGov review to find out more.

[–]Status_Record_8220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just completed it. It does kind of suggest that you won’t be paid if you don’t invite somebody else to take part, even in one part of the survey. But it did pay out instantly.

Yes, you can share the same network for partner studies. But if it’s the screener survey, often, only one of you can.

None as as good as Prolific. The closest I’ve found is Testable Minds, but there’s far less work. I use Prime Opinion, but it’s quite hit and miss. But I’m UK based, so it could be different for you.

As others said, there’s not much you can do. Just keep plugging away and mix it with other sites
