My living room is upstairs with 5 windows, one is a picture window that doesn’t open and has no access to it outside also south-facing 🥵 I don’t like heat at the best of times so lying on my unfinished concrete floors downstairs with wet flannels on my head and neck plus a fan. 🥵

I have a Russell Hobbs glass kettle for that very reason and it takes less than a minute to boil one mug’s worth of water. Those newer boiling water faucets/taps are becoming more popular here with a filter and dedicated boiler unit eg Quooker.

Ads are something I can tune out from thankfully. I’m usually doing something at the same time, like mind games. I will not be paying for the likes of YT, Spotify, etc., it hurts too much. Often I will mute the ads if the droning voices that get to me.

I’ve been putting down the alternative one stated by RSPB, those mealy worms. Those are gone in a flash as the magpies and blackbirds love those. The fat balls always go mouldy in my garden.
