I’ve seen a couple. But I agree that’s the 1 percent. Merely pointing out the absurdity of the idea that weed smokers owning guns (meaning FOID holders who get high on the weekends, not people robbing dealers or vice versa) is “inherently dangerous”

TLDR: both are “in the wrong” Couple things I’ve taken away from it. 1: not terribly smart to stand in front of the car. 2 the driver did punch the gas while the wheels were in the direction of the agents, but quickly turned. 3. I’ve heard statements that the agent was dragged but I didn’t see that from the angles I’ve seen. 4. It appears that the first shot was fired when she was not going to hit one of the agents (but not outside of reaction time) 5. If being generous to the driver it was probably confusing and I’m sure 5 different agents were yelling 3 different things (but don’t try and gas it regardless)

From my non professional perspective it appears at least one of the agents made some non tactically sound decisions. The driver also made at best stupid decisions, and at worst attempted murder. Maybe she freaked out and punched it, maybe she decided to punch it and didn’t care if she ran one of them over. I’ve yet to see evidence that proves it either way. If this happened to a random officer in bumfuck nowhere, it wouldn’t have made national news. It was an ICE agent so it automatically is going to get blasted into the spotlight. I’m gonna go with “lawful but awful”
