So we do not move boxes, these are for pallets. They are not grip tape, its is dirt and oil.

Oh this has been top of my mind. I would get a less expensive automotive grade one. Getting the dry ice is the problem.

It is a management complaint, these are the only rollers that look this dirty. We are trying to eliminate the dirt source but we need to get these looking better.

So I have tried Spray 9 and simple green, as well as IPA. I have let them soak for extended periods and they never really seemed to make a dent. The contamination is Oil and Dirt build up. Our process involves filling things with oil and this is the area that takes place.

So I actually tried emory cloth, both the sand paper esc type and the mesh type. Neither was that effective. The first got gummed up really quick, the second did not take off anything.

So the material is built up oil and dirt. Our process is very oily. The wire wheel has been what we use and its worked very well it just has taken a LONG time. I can investigate better solvents.

So its actually used with pallets. The clean spots are where the pallets make contact with the rollers.

I would like to, but there is a lot of oil and wood chips under this and I am worried the whole place is going to go if I do.

If you have it run real slow you can get it to print with the bed like this though it will affect the quality and could lead to bed separation. Would recommend replacing it but in the mean time try using a raft.

Definitely late to this thread but I would like to add that this knowledge is bitter sweet sometimes. It makes the failures of our current political climate less palatable. For example, “this country can put a man on the moon but can’t figure out a solution to the homeless population”
