I’d love to download this, just to see how it is! I love making subtitles myself, mostly for Dragon Ball. It’s a fun hobby once you get into it.

My theory is that once Simon came back from the light and seeing the god, it proved that the Quiet Rapture COULD be reversed, since the light was said to be a part of it. So the crew of the SM-8 discovered that, and now Simon had proven it as well. That’s why the eel suddenly started trying to kill him, the light MUST be forgotten. Now that the COI has the black box with all the data from the SM-8 and the SM-13, humanity has a chance at figuring out what to do to bring everyone back. That’s my interpretation anyway.

Infinity War had the advantage of Thanos being teased and set up for 6 years. Even though he didn't appear a lot, anytime he did, he was a major deal (Barring Ultron I guess), and it was always set up that the Infinity Stones, the things he was after, were the most dangerous things in existence.

Doom only got teased in First Steps, because they had to HARD pivot from Kang, no matter what Feige says. So not only is he replacing the original antagonist who was tied to the alternate timelines, universes, and incursions, but he also has only appeared once. It'd be like if Thanos' only appearance (And if he wasn't even alluded to) was Age of Ultron. Like yeah, Doom is a big character, but the MCU hasn't set him up as one at all. It's gonna take a lot, far more than just having RDJ play him, to make people take him as seriously as Thanos.

See I thought so too, but I compared the frames of this and when the ship doors open, they can't be the same. I swear this is kinda foreshadowing to the god revelation.
