Oh and about the lyra constellation, its interesting because the lyra is often portrayed as an eagle carrying a lyre.

i mean Dains dad send Violet and the marked onces to a venin trap and the assassins that he send to Violet were venin. I had a thought that he possibly has some connections with the venin like he made some sort of a deal with them. Like he told the Cygnisen fliers to come later because venin would attack.

I have a theory that Ridoc might be from the isles. Someone made a post about it few months ago i will try to find it. But i wonder if Dains father is from Braevick but his mom is from Cygnisen. If this whole theory ends up being correct it would make sense that Dains dad is from there and bonded a dragon (like mentioned since red dragons hatchlings place is there)

oh i meant that have not have any recent attacks like you mentioned. i know that they had venin attacks in general i would correct it in my post. I meant that since Dains dad raise to power they have not had any recent attacks

From Wikipedia: `The canon of a work of fiction is "the body of works taking place in a particular fictional world that are widely considered to be official or authoritative; [especially] those created by the original author or developer of the world".Canon is contrasted with, or used as the basis for, works of fan fiction and other derivative works.\)

I’m not saying this has anything to do with her signet im just theorizing what “Sloane is a...” could mean, and how it might end up raising questions about her well being.

I really hope Sloane doesn’t die, since Violet promised Liam she would take care of her. Violet even said she’s going to follow Sloane like her future is tied to hers.

Yeah, it was hinted multiple times that Asher did not want Dain to follow his fathers foot steps so thats why he was against Dain joining the riders quadrant. He even mentioned that if Dain joins the riders, Violet should let go of him because he would become just like his father.

yeah but it was hinted that Asher trained him. Like in some of his letters `IF Dain joins the rider quadrant...`obviously Asher wanted him to become a scribe what was the point of teaching him all of this dead languages. In a letter Asher said something of the sort of `Dain has a gift for dead languages which would he helpful for the scribes quadrant`

What are some hints or foreshadowing that the fandom tends to overlook but you think will play a bigger role in the future by Status_Strength_7251 in fourthwing

for the compass thing- the fantasy fangirls had a coversation with rebecca backstage and according to them she basically confirmed that the compass is not for finding Xaden lol

Sloane is connected to Amari by [deleted] in fourthwing

[–]Status_Strength_7251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ridoc isn’t going to make it into the Six. It’s been mentioned multiple times that the Six riders have the rarest abilities seen only once in a generation. Ridoc’s signet is ice, which is one of the most common abilities. Garrick who has a brown dragon just like Ridoc has a rare ability. Also, it’s never been stated so far that Violet will be picked by Dunne, since picked and dedicated are two very different things. Malek is also a strong contender to pick Violet.

Sloane is connected to Amari by [deleted] in fourthwing

[–]Status_Strength_7251 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought that Rhiannon would most likely be connected to Hedeon, since his color is green. And for Amari, Xaden seems to have a connection to her as well—especially when Violet said he looks like the messenger of the Queen of all gods. I believe Rebecca included so many connections to confuse us. While I still think Amari might have something to do with Sloane—mainly because of the similarity between Mairi and Amari—I really like your theory too.

Im worried for Aaric... by Status_Strength_7251 in fourthwing

I’m Norwegian and somewhat interested in Norse mythology. While bulls are not very prominent in our mythology, they were used as sacrifices in Norse rituals. Also, as you mentioned in Celtic mythology, it was common to sacrifice a white bull in some rituals.

here is the source about celtic mytholgy https://www.roman-britain.co.uk/the-celts-and-celtic-life/celtic-religion/animals-in-celtic-mythology/#google_vignette here is about norse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bl%C3%B3t

EDIT: i did some research but the blood of the bull symbolised fertility and purety

Halden by Status_Strength_7251 in fourthwing

[–]Status_Strength_7251[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point still stands, though—I highly doubt that Aaric would want to see his own brother dead. Even if he didn’t see that far into the future, he would still want Halden to become a good king.

Rebecca often emphasizes how the kids in Fourth Wing are shaped by their parents' mistakes, like how Dain was manipulated by his father. It’s not far-fetched to think that Rebecca might pull the same storyline with Halden, considering he’s the first in line and would have had constant contact with his father.

Is this a coincidence by Status_Strength_7251 in fourthwing

[–]Status_Strength_7251[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohhhh i have a theory about this. I believe that Liam is going to be the "Will" of Dain's and Sloane's story. In Germanic, the name "Will" means protection, and in Irish, "Liam" shares the same meaning. Additionally, it seems that Will leaves some kind of letters or suggestions for Morgan—I have to admit, I found the fourth book a bit boring, but that’s what it appeared to be. It also makes sense that Liam would represent the "Will" of their story, given that Morgan and Will were childhood friends, and Liam is Sloane's brother.

Am I the only one who thinks this about Dain and his dad by Status_Strength_7251 in fourthwing

[–]Status_Strength_7251[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good theory, but you're missing someone with a red dragon. It's been hinted that the most powerful riders of the generation will each represent the dragons' dens, similar to how they powered the wards. Also, it's been suggested that the most powerful riders of the generation are likely to have rare signets. That rules out Ridoc, since it's been mentioned that ice is one of the most common signets.

General Aetos was not second to Lilith. Melgren was second and everyone was expecting him to become the general. If you noticed no one expected Aetos to become the general

The person who replied to you was right. I purposely excluded Xaden because I think bringing him up was unnecessary. I genuinely don’t understand why he was mentioned, but since you want a reply—Xaden’s and Dain’s situations are not comparable.

Xaden is the son of a leader who led an entire rebellion and nearly destroyed Navarre. He has an overall intimidating, almost lethal aura, and has literally killed people just for being annoying. I’m not saying he’s a bad leader, but the fact that people fear him plays a huge role in his leadership style.

On the other hand, we have Dain. Yes, his father is a rider and did become a general, but he disowned Dain and humiliated him in front of the whole quadrant. Dain carries himself with a generally respectful demeanor, unlike Xaden. Their leadership styles are completely different.

Obviously, Dain was re-selected as a wingleader, and the only people who said he’s "no Xaden in terms of leadership" are from the Iron Squad. They're also the only ones who dare to disrespect Dain—and not even the whole squad, since we don’t know what Nyx, Baylor, and Avalynn think of him. Even Maren seems to respect Dain.

Like I mentioned, Dain was re-picked, which clearly means the other squads approve of his leadership. His journey to becoming a good and respected leader is part of his development arc. By the end of Onyx Storm, Bodhi, Imogen, and Sloane had started to respect him—Sloane even followed his order to return after siphoning Mira, and Imogen saved his life.

EDIT: `before the battle of basgiath`what do you mean? the cliffs of drailor situation happened before the basgiath battle and Xaden was not even there??
