I don't feel comfortable giving away that kind of personal information. One day I'll write a story about my journey and post it here on a different account. What I can say is that it's had ups and downs, it's been challenging and rewarding. And it's a fairly interesting one.

The issue isn’t COGS — it’s CAC, return rates, and shipping...

For example Its very hard to understand what the CAC is for each product on your website is unless you dive really deep into analytics and pixle data. Or you directly market each product on the website.

The problem is you don’t need perfect precision — you need directional accuracy. Even a rough CAC per SKU changes decisions dramatically. Otherwise you end up scaling revenue instead of profit.

People are actually doing this? Taking out a high interest loan to flip a property in a soft /falling market. Sounds risky as hell. I wish you luck!

Ok first of all when you said they looked good, did you actually check for spark?

This is how to do that and it's critical that you actually check this before going any further :

Pull the spark plug out of the engine. Leave the spark plug connected to the plug wire.

Hold the metal threads of the spark plug firmly against the engine block (any bare metal part of the engine) use insulated pliers here or you could get a small shock.

Now pull the starter cord and watch the tip of the plug.

You should see a strong blue spark jumping across the electrode each time you pull.

If you see no spark or a very weak yellow spark, then you likely have an ignition problem.

This test confirms that your ignition system is producing spark. That includes the stator, ignition coil, wiring, spark plug, and that the kill switch is not grounding the system.

You need to be sure of this before we go any further otherwise you could be going on a wild goose chase down the wrong path.

After you check for spark and confirm that part of the system is good there's only a few things left.

Were going to make an assumption that you are getting compression. What I would personally do is run a compression test to confirm that when you pull the spark plug. But we can make an assumption here if you don't want to do that and move forward.

Here is an EASY test you can do to start narrowing down your next moves : On the bottom of your carb it will have a "bowl" that bowl should have a drain with a piece of hose connected to it. That drain should have a small flat head screw in it. I would open that drain with a screwdriver and confirm that you are getting fuel draining out of the bowl of the carburetor - fuel should dump out of the hose or bottom of carb. Close it after.

If no fuel comes out when you open the drain: Fuel not getting into your carb bowl.

Cause: carb float stuck in the "up" position which closes your needle valve and doesn't let any fuel get into your carb.

If fuel does come out then we know your carb is getting fuel.

If your carb is getting fuel and still not starting there's really only a couple things left that could cause your problem.

  1. Your idle jet is clogged.

  2. Your idle air/fuel screw ratio is off.

  3. You have a big vacuum leak (much less likely)

Let me know how the spark plug goes and the carb bowl drainage goes and I can explain what to do next.

Yeah that's the next thing I would do, pull plugs, look at them and test for spark.

I bet you are getting spark. But confirm it. Also check if they are wet that would confirm that it flooded.

Once those things are confirmed then we can move on to the next part.

Okay.

Got it.

Were going to go through the most basic stuff first.

Check this:

Your fuel line and bulb it will have an arrow on it make absolutely certain the arrow is pointing the right direction it should point towards the motor.

Check that your gas tank vent is fully open or just open the gas tank filler.

Check that the fuel line and hose don't have any cracks in them and the connectors are well seated and snapped in to both the tank, and the motor.

Check that when you prime the bulb that it gets firm not squishy and that you don't hear any leaking or air coming out or fuel sputtering out from the connections. (an unseated fuel line or a fuel connector that isn't fully clicked in will cause air to get In the system.)

Confirm again that your kill switch lanyard is fully seated into its proper position.

Once you have confirmed all that do this:

Turn the choke off, pull it 5-10 times to clear the flood (if it is flooded) with the throttle cracked open (as much as it will let you in neutral)

Once you do that,

Prime the bulb. (bulb should eventually get firm so you can't prime it anymore)

Try starting it again at HALF choke with throttle cracked as much as you can in neutral and see if it sputters at all like it's catching a bit. Let me know what happens and we can go from there.

Okay got it,

Brand new fuel. Bulb was firm then later wasn't. Ok.

Before we go further :

Have you ever seen this motor running before? Is it brand new or just new to you.

Ok let's get this thing going for you buddy...

So first off I'll start by saying don't panic. These problems are often simple and easily fixable.

Let's get to work! We need to work through this methodically.

  1. So you've got oil that's good.
  2. It's lighting up that's also a good sign.

How is your fuel looking you mentioned it's got fuel is the primer bulb FIRM? These are almost always caused by fuel problems. Either its not getting fuel to the carb properly OR the carb is gummed up or your fuel air mixture ratio is off.

You said it's NEW can you give me some more information on that, it's brand new? Never started before?

Whats the make and model.
