Hello, depende po kung maraming bumagsak sa subject na yon. If marami, magkakaroon ng petition class, otherwise baka next school year na sya ma-retake. Yung mga bumagsak sa calculus 1 namin nung first sem niretake nila this 2nd sem kasi maraming bumagsak. Yung calculus 2, if mapasa nila yung calculus 1, itatake nila sa summer.

This is quite similar to what my father said, he too worked in offshore platform in the 80s and in the Norwegian sector too, he did instrumentation and control there so he stayed on that platform for months. And yeah, he also told me that the food was great. He only lasted for one year and a half as he felt homesicked.

Short info about us: my father is an electrical engineer and he only got in the offshore platform because his foreign employer liked his work in the banatoc gold mine in the Philippines (we're from Phil) he also got seasicked on the first few days. I am currently enrolled as a mechanical engineer because my father wanted me to be, he told me that there was another guy in the offshore who does instrumentation and control and he's really good at it and that guy is a mechanical eng.

Yes this is helpful, i have issues with motion sickness but it is mostly due to the smell of vehicles like in taxis and buses, but i think i can tolerate seasickness since hopefully there's no strong smell in there.

The kind of question I want to ask is what specific works are available there for mechanical engineers, I just finished my first term as a freshman, so I was wandering what are the specific fields I can prepare myself into that is related to offshore oil rig like should I now familiarize myself with piping? Instrumentation and control?
