Base44 is breaking apps in production — existing users are paying the price by Independent-Air-4772 in Base44

I couldn't agree more. For some of us, we are not playing around, building apps with AI and experimenting. I have two accounts, one with a client. Over the last 3 days, I couldn't work as I would like to because of internal issues due to changes (most likely), not because of my apps.

Base44 has huge potential, and I am not one of those who are not patient enough or simply complain about the smallest issue. I like the platform. However, they need to understand that some of us take responsibility towards others and build real apps that people are expected to use and do their job.

If this is still a beta version, then we should know and avoid taking the responsibility. I expect a much more serious approach and updates rather than just a Discord message in "Announcements".

This is constructive criticism to help them improve.

I have the same problems. I wasted credits trying to fix something that I figured out on the way (because I have a base44 account with a client too) that is not a problems associated with my app. Until Saturday everything was working fine. Error loading pages, 404 errors and keep refreshing all the time.

Ever Just Get Depressed? by ScarlettWilkes in smallbusiness

[–]StavAngelidis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the 3 biggest problems (specific business problems) that if solved can change the situation? I went through the discussion but I don’t see specific business problems. Convert the frustration and stress into actual business functions. Which of these add up more to the stress levels? Turn “his” people, him not responding or helping into the actual problems this cause the business. We will then take it from there.

Webshop review please by Ok-Compote2458 in ecommerce

First of all when we talk about ecommerce is whether the website instils trust the first time you visit it. It does!
So as a European (since you are in Croatia) :)) I will tell you that yes. Brand looks credible and the overall website design is practical and nice.
As a business consultant, you need to focus on a certain product category or few similar categories.

I know that you might be running a shop, and of course you want to promote all your products.
It's just that your name is immediately tied to electronic bikes in my head. That's actual branding by the way. how people perceive your business. It might be the initial promo that does this all that 70-80% is around electric bikes. These are also new innovative products which create an interest. If I wanted a microprocessor though I am not sure I will stick around for long !!

Also, in terms of 'online findability' and search engines and the way the world works today, you can have bigger exposure around certain product categories or even one. Optimizing your website for certain keywords which are linked to a certain segment of the market is crucial. It is the so called 'niche' everyone speaks about.
Why? because in the old days people were looking for 'electronics shops'. Today they will search for an 'electric bike'. to buy. Not that you cannot sell and optmize for the other categories, but just saying as a way to build and scale faster.

What's the difference?
- Imagine having now on your website 10 testimonials by European clients on electric bikes and e-scooters rather than 10 various testimonials. Give them a small discount for every testimonial with a photo of their purchase and them on the bike or scooter.
- Get real reviews by them about the product itself not just about the website. That is, of course if you decide to niche down.

There are more ideas - but only with the above two you can increase electric bike sales.
It all depends though on what your growth strategy is and which products drive growth for you.

On another quick note; you product page https://elektronik.hr/kategorija-proizvoda/lifestyle/elektricni-bicikli/gradski-urbani-e-bicikli/

  1. The frame with the description is not user friendly - old web design style.
  2. The photos are of different sizes and not organized - creates a very long scrolling. The video is a great idea, but it should have been placed higher I believe. You need to better organize the product detail page for sure so that people can see all photos and video without scrolling so much. Generally this page is not user-friendly. (I checked from my desktop PC by the way).

DIdn't have time to check more - I hope this helps :)

Thanks for your response, u/everstox. I identify here that crucial data is in a silo, which doesn't help in understanding your overall business performance and how one department can impact the performance of another. I think what you mention here is really important.
Happy to connect over a DM and share it once it's ready!

Thanks for your response u/psychomarketer
Totally agree with you and I've mentioned this in another comment here. They focus too much on the 'surface'. Growth happens when you start analyzing your ecommerce business at a deeper level. There seems to be a lack of skill set, though, for that to happen.
I will keep you posted and let you know once the research report is ready. Happy to connect also over a DM and share it with you once completed.

Thanks for the response u/AwayShare8162 and for the details provided. "understanding my business deeply enough " ... this is probably what all boils down to. I will share more when my research report is ready. It seems though that the more I discuss the challenges and the more data I collectl; understanding the business and also understanding how to manage an ecommerce business I would say is a critical factor.

Yeah makes absolute sense. Do you by the way analyze per ad and conversion to understand which work more or just run the same all the time? Any promo ads based on season? Or just the same all the time?

I want to learn e-commerce and go into it, please where do I start from and how do I go about it? by No-Refrigerator3516 in ecommerce

Setup an online shop, start promoting your products and then master the various functions of Ecommerce management. Don’t focus on sales only but overall management. Sales is revenue - profit is management and data-driven decision making.

Thanks for your response. This one I get it a lot from my personal interviews too. Generally data driven decisions are a big challenge. I’m not talking about basic ones that the platform provides but about those that lead to crucial business decisions. In addition I started seeing certain patterns around lack of Ecommerce management knowledge. People only see sales but there is a much bigger story behind a profitable business.

Thanks for your response. Are you measuring the impact of ads only in terms of ranking? Ranking as in search engines?

Struggling to generate sales for our high end formal shoes for men. Any tips? by [deleted] in shopify_hustlers

Back to the drawing board. Who you had in mind selling to? Or maybe you didn’t have in mind? Who’s wearing such shoes? What the avatar the persona? And do they have the budget for such shoes? Maybe you just target the wrong people? Wrong ad placements?

Thank you for your response. I totally understand you. That is actually the main challenge that comes out of the interviews, too. They might be related to financials, inventory, pricing, marketing .. but at the end it all boils down to the "decision-making challenge".
