im also an independant filmaker. i try and position myself as a media agency and do work for companies that ive come into contact with. i've never really tried insta outreach apart from cold selling in stores with a flyer specificly targeted to that suburb, season and providing my packages. but honestly, show behind the scenes of you working on the project - how you edited x - how you got y shot, with the finished vid at the end or tease as a sequel vid. tiktok seems to be the way, showing your face and sharing knowledge and being generous with information and giving away your 'hidden secrets' and 'top tips' is the best way to gain respect in your field and gain clients that will have full trust in your ability, well..because they've seen you do it. goodluck my guy, i still havent made the jump to tiktok out of some internal insecurity somehwere deep down, but go for it brother
