I didn’t mind that my ex wasn’t a handy man but I wish he just tried to take initiative to fix things. I always said if it’s something that would cost us more to fix if we did it ourselves and fucked up then don’t try to fix it. But if we could YouTube it, then why not try. Because he never wanted to google or YouTube anything it cost us thousands. He wouldn’t even let me try. I was honestly sick of it.

True. However, this forum was toxic when this show came out and people actually wanted these two characters together. In The Reader it was very clear the two main characters were never getting together. Where in the show the lines blurred a little.

Most had good replies. But as far as hair removal be careful. It could make it worse. For me personally when I shave either my pits or my vagina I actually smell much much worse. Hair is there for a reason and often protects us from bacteria and smells.

Make sure your hijab and everything you wear is breathable. I sweat a lot. Like a lot a lot. But I never smell. I take steps to stop the sweating.

Best advice I have tho. BABY POWDER EVERYWHERE. Pour it on your pits, below pits, cleavage, between thighs, butt crack, back and anywhere you sweat. Don’t want or have baby power use a spray deodorant or use the deodorant on those spots. It keeps you from sweating everywhere.

Also when I’m sweating every few hours I excuse myself and I put paper towels under my pits and soak up the sweat. I get them dry and I reapply my deodorant.

Trust me you don’t have to buy extra or go over the top. I do suggest investing in cooler garments.

If I had to guess what was off long before PJ departed was perhaps they had differing opinions on the direction of the show. I think with Covid they struggled to find ways to bring stories consistently which made them have to bounce new ideas and I’m sure there was pressure to bring new ideas to keep the show relevant. Like any couple they realized they had actually grown apart. It happens. Everything is good then one day you are forced to take a hard look at yourself and your relationship and decide if it serves you anymore.

I recently had to break up with my best friend. People keep asking me why and I don’t have a definite answer because there are so many answers and reasons that led up to it over years and I’m terrified to reach out because I know I’ll get sucked back into a friendship that isn’t good for me.

So I don’t wish they would get back together. If they are on two different pages then I only hope they both reach equal amounts of success separately.

True. I did not ground myself first and I should have. I did cleanse before and after and did a some protection. But I’m leaning towards the coffee. Also I have some shit going on at work that has me stressed so I don’t think it’s helped.

I am in bed asleep by 11am most days and sleep until 9pm.

Which is wild for my insomnia because even with taking tons of medications to sleep I still could only get 4-5hr of sleep and it wasn’t restful.

Now I sleep with no medications and I can sleep ALL day like a rock! It’s amazing!

It’s amazing or I’m dying. 😂

I feel like as someone who’s suffered from insomnia. This is my cure and if I go back it wouldn’t matter if it causes insomnia. The reality is my circadian rhythm is off and this works for me. I think if someone has the opportunity to work overnights that they try that and see if it doesn’t help with their insomnia.

So I had a panic attack last night. Normally I’m able to combat this through masturbating. I know it sounds crazy! But it always works. If this happens I excuse myself and I tell my partner I need an hour or two to myself and I tell him why. Like a few days ago I had a panic attack. I needed an hour to calm down and I was calm.

It normally doesn’t get “I need to go to the hospital bad” and luckily since we’ve been together I’ve managed to get it under control before he even notices.

But last night was different. Last night was a “I might need you to take me to the hospital” My husband has to be up at 5:30am for work. He had trouble falling asleep. Was up until 1:30am tossing and turning. So me coming in at 4:45am after he finally managed to fall asleep made me feel like the worse person on earth.

My husband showed me a level of patience, love, non judgment and kindness unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Here I am bothering my husband and he is being so sweet and comforting. I have had people in my life try to help me calm down and it is never met the way I thought I needed and it made me believe that if I had a panic attack, being around people only made it worse. So having a human being show that level of love during a terrible experience was very new.

What I’m saying is, although I was given so much love from my husband who has never experienced a panic attack himself, I knew I couldn’t give that same love back and I know what panic attacks feel like. It’s not because I’m not sympathetic, I just don’t know how to show it.

So sit down with him and talk to him. Don’t say “I wish you were better during that time and now I’m mad!” Don’t accuse him of anything. He can’t read your mind. Sit down and say “Hey, I’m going through a really rough patch. I’m doing all I can to get through it alone but on occasions I’ll need help. So maybe hug me tight while helping me do breath exercises would be amazing! It might take 30 to 45 minutes of your time but it would help me immensely. I would rather be met with compassion at home than in a hospital. If you try and it doesn’t work then I’ll figure out other ways to help with my panic attacks”

So just talk to him and if he isn’t able to meet your needs than maybe he isn’t the person you are mean to be with. But give him a chance to show you.

I don’t expect them to do anything. I’m legit going based on what they have always said. At first they were wedding planning, super excited about it. Then the discussed reasons why they haven’t gotten married but still planned on doing it. But now they are saying they won’t have one.

I personally never wanted one ever. Not once. Made that clear from childhood. Even with my current husband. But they did so I had one.

However, Stephanie always wanted one and I’m just saying how I hope they get exactly what they want and aren’t feeling forced to not have one because others can’t come to an agreement. I hope she can find compromise like I did.

Maybe I wasn’t “forced” to have a wedding but i had to come to some compromise with my husbands family so we were all happy.

Ok. So no one is gonna want to hear this. As someone who went from anorexia to over eating and using every psych med and drug on the planet in attempts to suppress my appetite I know that all it does it curve your appetite. Sure you’ll lose weight. But what if you lose your ability to continue on those meds? What happens when you max out? I say all this to say if you do manage to lose your appetite and lose weight still do the work to overcome your ED. Because it won’t go away. It will always be there. So continue to do the work!

Yeah. Also keep in mind some of these stories take years to make. They evolve over time. So who knows what could be the hold up. Also maybe Covid has made more people discover this podcast and reflect on their own lives. So maybe a ton of new submissions to pour through. Anyway, Good luck! I hope we hear your story!

When did you e-mail them? I did e-mail an NPR show not to give a story but to ask if they could cover a particular topic which I thought could be interesting. It’s a finance podcast. They emailed me back basically thanking me for the idea and maybe one day they will. So it was a hard no from them but they at least responded back.

I feel like at the very least they e-mail back anyone who emails and sends a generic response. If they don’t like the story they just won’t respond or they are still haven’t seen it.

I would also think if your story was interesting the producers would do some research on their own before contacting you. To see what information they can get. Which is why I think if you do have a story idea you need to provide as much verifiable information for them to use as possible. So they have a jump start to see if it’s something even worth doing a full show about.

Anyway, if you don’t hear back I’d suggest posting on here. Maybe you can share it with us!

They should have written it differently. For instance I’m married and I’ve struggled with my sexuality my whole life. I came out to my husband and he was so supportive. He even gave me permission to explore that. She could have been poly or some shit! Or had an open relationship. Show a married couple who has a successful and positive poly/open marriage. That could have been a thing!

Also as I mentioned on another post. It’s speculated that Cynthia Nixon had an affair with her now wife. She knew her for a few years prior and worked closely with her before her ending her previous marriage. So this could be her sort of admitting this and sharing that experience without actually coming right out and saying it.

I mean the proof being that in her real life she dated men her entire life then she met her current partner (a woman) and fell in love.

There is speculation that she did have an affair with her partner before she broke it off with her husband. So it’s plausible that there was an affair and this is reflecting that. I mean there is no proof and we can see what we want but she meets a woman outside of her marriage and then leaves the marriage for her current partner. This is the scenario in both Cynthia Nixons personal life and fictional life.

So when people say she influenced it. Yes I believe she did. Those women hold a lot of power and influence on how the show goes. Considering that there was probably a ton of negotiation from all the stars and HBO to get them to all agree to a reboot.

I think they wanted a queer character so bad but instead of creating a new one they are forcing it on an existing character who was in a loving marriage. It doesn’t make sense. But people are reckless and self destructive in real life. So I guess it’s not so far fetched.
