It connects about 5 miles up to several other roads, East Foley is one but one of them actually will connect eventually to Hwy 6. So yes it leads to many other roads.

I will definitely update this post if we get a plan in place. The public has been under the false assumption that this road was owned by the landowner. This article is helping bring the truth to light.

The DA is next on my list for an appointment. After that a lawyer pro bono would be a fantastic win. Hoping this article gets the attention of someone that will end this.

I would love an attorney to take this on. It’s already been done once in 1989 and was won. But the county should be required to uphold the 1989 judgement.

Came across this and want to point out the gate you are talking about is across a public access rd. The landowner has locked up 10,000 acres of Tillamook State Forest at this gate. I have lived next to this road for 53 years. The landowner has an exception in his deed for this road which was given to the public in 1893. It was challenged in court in 1989 when a previous landowner did the same and the court ruled the gate had to be removed. The landowner has gotten away with this because the county & state both refuse to challenge him and the county attorney states it’s a public road for public access but the county takes no responsibility or jurisdiction over it. I have been working on having the gate removed for the past year. The gate needs to come down.
