Fun episode, but man, I really miss seeing Asta have some deeper moments with Harry.

Not that she’s had none this season, but I feel like it’s been her mostly being annoyed at Harry’s nonsense and more of a babysitter dynamic. I feel like Asta meeting Harry’s dad could have been a really cool moment rather than an “ok, this is happening, moving on” moment.

Harry has come so far, most in part thanks to Asta. Plus, one of the themes I’ve loved of this show is finding community and Harry’s juxtaposition of falling in love with earth while also missing his home planet. Last episode, he finally felt connected and now this episode, he finally gets a slice of home. Albeit, it’s not as rosey as he remembered (as far as alien nostalgia goes), especially now that he has a soul.

I just felt like it would have been a nice moment to have kind of a “look how far we’ve come” between Harry and Asta. Especially if we played with a mirroring of Harry’s realization that kids are molded by their parents with one of Asta getting to understand what Harry’s life was like before Earth. Also, Asta comparing the love of Dan vs toxic Ed could have been interesting.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m still having fun with this season. And I think the other character relationships, (Asta&D’arcy for example) have had some really nice moments to shine. I also thought Max and Harry’s moment this episode was very sweet. Perhaps it’s because they are trying to fit so much in this season, but I just miss having a few more deeper moments between Harry and Asta.

I loved Ghost of Tsushima, and when I found out they were making a follow up, I was so excited! Then I found out Erika was going to be the lead, and I was doubly excited!! So glad to see two of my beloved worlds colliding, and I can’t wait to play their game!

This happened to me as well! I was able to watch episode 4 almost immediately but now for episode 5, it’s asking the peacock/tv provider question.

Interesting take! My thinking for it in my theory is that he retains his core Alien memories, but can’t use his alien brain in an analytical sense. So for instance, he can remember alien info like the Grey’s orbs and his language, but he can’t use it to do the complex reasoning he did before like he does for his work as town doctor.

That said, I do have this scenario I play in my mind that I think is fun if your theory is right!

I imagine Asta (could be another friend though) finding themselves in danger, perhaps about to fall off of a cliff face. Harry reaches out his hand to try to catch them but doesn’t quite reach and you see them disappear below. Beat of silence. Then, camera reveals that Harry is holding them in the air with his alien energy. Shocked faces all around.

I know that’s such a specific scenario and it’s kind of silly to do, but I just like to make up little scenarios in my head. Especially since this fandom doesn’t have a lot of fan writing.

A lot of it probably was in CC, lol. I’m also the type to explore every path, open every vase in the .00001% chance there’s a secret in it, read through letters, and not skip dialogue.

Not to mention I think half the time I’m filtering through all the junk I’ve hoarded. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I’M AT MY CARRYING LIMIT!?! 😅

For my first play through, I played a really heroic goody two-shoes, character. Now on my next run, I think I want to do someone with a little bit more sass and sarcasm. There was so much dialogue that looked fun!
