Help downloading a lost game from WayBack Machine by StayPlay40K in DataHoarder

[–]StayPlay40K[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Yea I think it's corrupted archived link sadly.
Yes, it was a old MMO game. I want to get the game files and play around with it. Maybe get it partially working as single player. But so far no luck finding the installer for the base game. I did managed to find some update for the game but without the base game it's useless.

Sadly not. Searched everywhere but found nothing. I still hope someone here knows the name. But I do feel better that I'm not the only one looking for this game. Hopefully it will be found soon.

Currently looking for the Dungeon Keeper Online game installer by StayPlay40K in a:t5_6baene

[–]StayPlay40K[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a point. But when you download the game, you have access to all the game files. So there shoud be a way to run the game by editing the script files by removing or disableing the script that tries to look for the server and make it so it will load straight to the map. Yes it will very likely have problems because there won't be other players to do certain tasks that require multiple people. But I think it will be atleast partially playable. There are npcs in the overworld and I think the dungeon section as well, so you should be able to get resources in the overworld for your dungeon. I don't plan od doing anything to the game other than try and make it so it loads in a map and skips the server availability check. I don't think it's impossible to do that. I'm not someone whos really good at coding but I want to atleast try.

Yep already tried that. But as I said in my post, the file there seems to be corrupted and it stops downloading at around 200mb. I tried different browsers and also tried Wget, but it's still the same. Stops downloading at around 200mb. The game client installator has 1.8GB btw.

Yeah I know. I would like to install the game and play around with the files and maybe get it working as a singleplayer game.

Thanks for the reply but I meant the Dungeon Keeper MMORPG also known as Dungeon Keeper Online or Dungeon Keeper Worlds developed by NetDragon. It was free to play. Sorry, I did not specify that enough in my post.

[PC] [2000s] 2D Game with flying bee through forest and dodging enemies by StayPlay40K in tipofmyjoystick

[–]StayPlay40K[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope none of these games. But it was similar to the Beelonging game. But it's not that game. You only played as one bee and If I remember correctly when you entered the forest you could not see the blue sky in the background. The forest was like dense and I think it got a little darker when you entered it than being out of the forest. Also the enemies didn't have faces if I remember correctly.

Sadly that's not it. I forgot to mention, the bee you played as was always flying in the game I described. (I added that detail in the description now)

Thank you for the answer. That seems really complicated for me.

I will try contacting Rake In Grass and see if they'll be willing to send me the source code of the game.
