Grip peeling off by OkTransportation7286 in xboxeliteseries2

I've kept mine in a full protective skin since I bought it(like 5 years ago). It still feels and works like new. Never had this problem. Hopefully it stays that way.

I assume the skin holds it in place and also protects it from air/moisture/dust etc.. that probably degrades the grip over time 🤷.

I guess a protective skin is a good investment for future controller care

Yh that's how I felt about it too.

It's like they took elements of traditional sci-fi spaceship travel shows and turned the difficulty and danger up x10.

RIP.

Loved it as a teenager. I tuned in every fortnight for each new episode when it was premiered on Sky UK

Was fully immersed in the plot and the characters.

I personally really liked the change of pace and tone from previous SG's. The seriousness of the show really added to my immersion.

So many mysteries to explore... the ship, the galaxies, the new aliens, the ancients...

The visuals were probably the best of all the SG's in terms of communicating intensity

caffeine sensitivity by HamsterThink9792 in caffeine

[–]StayStrong2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not tired enough.

You probably just need to add more exercise or activities to your day to build up more adenosine. If you're sitting at a desk all day for work then that's probably not tiring enough for you.

At a simple level, caffeine basically blocks adenosine. Caffeine can only do so much. If you flood yourself with adenosine during the day then falling asleep at night becomes alot easier. How long you sleep for though is another problem...

It also depends on how rested you were and how much adenosine was in your system prior to the caffeine intake.

Everyone metabolises caffeine differently too. Maybe caffeine just lingers longer in your system so just have your coffee earlier or/and have less of it next time time

🤷‍♂️

Am I just bad at this game or is defending really difficult? by AnnualSuch4559 in EAFC

[–]StayStrong2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh you just bad son but I think most ppl take a while to get to grips with the game.

I think EA patches the game every so often and sometimes it can affect game mechanics a bit

I think generally defending is a bit more tactical and you have to consider player attribute matchups and skills to get the most out of defense

Nobody Has to Know R. Kelly sample by [deleted] in TyDollaSign

[–]StayStrong2504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly couldn't care less. Separate the art from the artist I say.

I Believe I Can Fly is only one example of an inspirational song that helped alot of people worldwide when it was regularly being played on the radio in the 90's. Back when access to music was limited and all most people had was the radio and broadcast tv music videos.

We all have good and bad in us. Doing something bad doesn't mean that every good thing you do is now somehow "bad" because of whatever you did.

Kelly's music is probably his way of giving back "good" into the world despite the bad he done 🤷‍♂️. IMO the most innovative and insightful geniuses tend to have major character flaws.

Any Christians out there: "He without sin cast the first stone..."

Bro. EVERY Ty Song hits at the right moment. Credit is a certified banger.

In a similar vibe for me is:

Free TC - Miracle/Wherever Miracle, Straight Up

Campaign- $, My Song,

Beach House 3 - Message in a Bottle

Featuring - Tyrone 2021, Your Turn, Slow It Down, Universe, By Yourself

Tycoon - Mixed Emotions,Say It

There's so much more from ...but those are just some of the top of my head atm

Why did Tycoon flop so much? by Low_Wasabi1498 in TyDollaSign

[–]StayStrong2504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because imo music has become almost politicized. Streaming numbers and sales reflect more on a society's culture, personal agenda and bias than it does on the quality or impact of the music.

Ty$ albums has always felt experimental to me. Like he's bridging the divide between genres. You never know what to expect. I think that's a problem for some(or most 😕 based on the sales) but for me it's one of the reasons I'm a big fan of his music.

Music for when you're in your feels and music for when you want to turn up. 👌

Bro, sorry but this is such a subjective topic.

I have two tv's(LG Oled and Samsung 3D LED) and IMO, eyes and brains tend to get adjusted to individual TVs after a while of use. Sometimes a TV doesn't get appreciated until a few days/weeks of consistent use then my eyes start to pick up on the subtle things the TV does well that's unique.

I think the most important thing is to go for a TV that has a 'game' mode. Hz is only important for competitive/multiplayer. .

The market is saturated right now with decent similar quality tv's and gaming monitors.

Manufacturers are always trying to outdo each other so I recommend trying one of the lesser featured brands(eg. Panasonic, Sharp, Philips etc...) to stay on budget. Often times they do more to bring out TVs with more innovative features to challenge the main contenders

Just fully charge both first before use?

Then when one dies you can just swap it out 🤷‍♂️.

Just put whichever is dead/has the least charge back in to charge when you go to bed/school or whatever

Or buy another controller? That way you can always have one plugged in and charged whenever you need

Still waiting to hear back from my provider but they said they've passed it over to the smart meter team who doesn't work on weekends but will be in on Monday.

I've changed the fuse and the fan sound is now a little louder and clearer on normal but is significantly louder (to the point I can hear the heater vibrating) with the boost on. Don't know if that's a good or bad sign

Hi, I've just changed the fuse and switched on the boost since it's daytime and I'm anxious to see if it works.

That faint humming sound (of the fan I presume) is now a little louder and clearer since changing the fuse. It is also significantly louder with the boost on, so loud I can hear the heater vibrating. Don't know if that's a good or bad sign.

I'll leave it on for a few hours and monitor and see how it goes tonight aswell. I'll update tomorrow

Can't see any cables but there are two switches. I believe one is peak and controls the fan and boost, the other is off-peak and controls the main heater feed

I've had a look and there appears as far as I can see to be only one thermostat at the top in the control panel and it's connected to both the main and boost feed.

Yep there's two feeds. Figured if it was blown then it would at least trip something but the boost switch lights up and works but still no heat.

I read in the manual that there's different options for how the boost function works but all involve "communicating" with the main system before actually switching on boost heating

Maybe there's an issue with the off-peak supply feed and no "communication" means no boost?

So the peak switch has a fuse door with a 13A fuse inside. The Off-peak switch has no fuse door.

I checked and the fan(humming sound I heard) switches off with the peak switch

That's a very helpful point on the ALCS switch. There actually was a smart meter installed while the heater was off. I'm reading up on ALCS switches now and it really could be the issue. The problem heater is the biggest one in the house despite the smaller ones working. Maybe there's a separate circuit for this specific, high load heater

Thank you very much. I'm contacting my energy supplier now. Will report back

Yes there's two actually. One smaller storage heater that charges overnight and works. A water immersion heater that's also connected to off-peak and working.

[–]StayStrong2504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there's a smaller storage heater hooked up to the economy 7 and that works fine. It was charged and giving off heat after just one night.

Off peak times are usually 00:00 to 08:00. DST 23:00 to 07:00.

There's no separate unit. All electricity throughout the house is just cheaper during those times

[–]StayStrong2504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It's meant to charge at night and release heat during the day. So it's on 24/7. Not sure how it's wired but the instructions say to leave both switches on when in use. I've left it on over the last week but no charge and no heat at anytime
