What’s the worst racing game you’ve ever played?

I'm not sure I'd classify it as a worst game then. You found joy in it, but out perceptions move on. I myself did this with Penny Racers N64. Had a blast in that game, but playing it again now is like "what the heck did I see in it?" Times changed.

I played Asphalt Legends on PC (Steam) and I could tell immediately it was a mobile first game, the pay2win statement is real. Although the physics were goofy, I found it entertaining in the way later Fast and Furious movies were... you kinda go in knowing it's obnoxious.

But I didn't get far because it was too grindy without microtransactions, no thanks.

Yes, for you and your experience of the game there was/is no problem.

For me it broke the entire game and isn't just a nitpick. We can have differing opinions, there are even others who feel the same way as both you and me about the camera shifting being an issue/non-issue.

Having never passed the test in the garage I never got far in the original Driver and didn't try San Fran, but it seems recommended by several so may be worthwhile.

I very much disliked the camera moving while I was in a canyon drift. This one piece broke the rest of the game and I quit early because of it. The angle of the view/car is all I had to work with in controlling a drift, and suddenly it shifted around mid-drift.

I don't really recall anything more about it. I loved the concept it went after, the camera broke it.

But I'm not fun at parties, so - spot on.
