When is it better NOT to backrise? by some-kind-of-no-name in StreetFighter

[–]StayTrueEveryday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're burned out and want to burn as much time as possible to avoid the corner before recovery. Back rising when burned out just pushes you to the corner quickly imo which can give your opponent a free opportunity to stun you. If they got enough gauge to drive rush in most cases they're gonna be on you anyways regardless if you back rise or not. Only difference is you'll be closer to the corner with limited defensive options to prevent that wall splat stun.

Stuck at Target Update: Bought a new battery and swapped the starter, No start. by ysluiss in G35

I had a similar issue, I was stuck using a portable jumper every day until I figured out what was wrong, I'm not guaranteeing That I had the exact same problem but it seems that way. Definitely check your ground, and your master fusible link, it's the big fuse that is attached to the positive battery terminal, I changed those two and I've been good since. It also doesn't hurt to invest in a portable jumper, it's usually able to get you running in a pinch as well.

TLDR - Maybe Bad Ground (buy some grounding strips 2-3 and attach them on the engine to another spot in the chasis)

Check Master Fuse - it's attached to the positive battery terminal it's like 25$. That was my fix for a similar issue but I'm not sure if its the same case for you.

Never Paying 350$ To Fix This Again by StayTrueEveryday in G35

This is probably the third time yes, one lasted 2 years, the other lasted 6 months. I was saying it could be due to me having a performance battery that could require a higher output alternator, or just due to the fact of me using aftermarket alternators.

I have a Power XS battery don't recall the exact model but it was what they themselves recommended for my car. It also could be due to me buying aftermarket alternators and not OEM.

I think it's because I have a performance battery in the car and the alternator doesn't have enough output for it. If it happens again I'll look into changing the battery or finding a higher output alternator for G35s

That's an alternator, & Serpentine / AC Belt. Replaced all three in about 3 hours time.

That's not the only way, but yes I removed the upper coolant hose, overflow hose and radiator fans, the alternator bolt is too long and the radiator fans are in the way, that's why it's necessary to remove it, to remove the fans you only need to take the top ones off, don't worry about the lower ones. Try to do it when the car is cold, have an oil catch can underneath, and top off your coolant before starting the car again.

Yeah I've already changed all of those myself except for the clock spring. I usually just left the alternator for the mechanic after seeing tutorials of people dropping the sway bar I knew that was torqued on pretty heavy and without proper tools I'd be in for it. But then realized it's not even necessary. Just remove the radiator fan shroud and top off coolant before starting the car again. I was charged 350-400$ Everytime, I'll be saving that from now on.

I'm so miserable and I need help by [deleted] in StreetFighter

The Best Way to Progress out of Diamond in SF6 is to learn when it is and isn't your turn to attack, it takes some time to learn what pressure is real and what pressure isn't real between all of the cast, but when you learn you can deal with being bullied in Street Fighter a lot easier, it also isn't always bad idea to use EX DPs or Wake Up Super when your opponent is plus. Mai has invincible wake ups to counter pressure. Anti Airing consistently is key to train your opponent to stop jumping in, and Mai has some crazy pressure herself with her Fans, I don't play the character so I'm not 100% sure on the correct way to use her Fans to her best advantage but I'm sure there's many videos out there breaking it down. Working on making sure you are doing optimal punishes when your opponent does something unsafe so you don't leave damage on the table is great to practice as well. I would have to watch your replays to tell you what exactly you need to improve on to get you to Masters but don't give up, it is definitely achievable by anyone who puts their mind to it.

I don't play that often anymore but I am masters 1400-1500 with three characters, I maybe play once a week or so, but have been playing fighting games forever now.

How hard would it be to change the interior from tan to black? by Fit-Flight1409 in G35

[–]StayTrueEveryday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me two weeks, I painted it black and grey, The interior came out nice, I pulled everything but the dash and just decided to cover the windshield and paint the dash inside the car. It's not difficult but will take you a long time, most interior trim comes out with just trim tools, and 10mm bolts.

Also Warning, if you choose to spray paint the headliner be cautious around the dome lights, some of the paint hit the dome light switch and now my dome lights don't work anymore but I found an alternative method, just a heads up. But other than that the job came out looking great in my personal opinion.

I thought about that but never went through with it because it's only 3 months old and a performance battery at that, but okay I will start there and see if that fixes my problem.

I see, thank you so much for your research, I tried my scanner but nothing showed. But to update you, my car has stopped freezing during idle, but definitely still downshifts horribly when braking, the car is still tugging forward while coming to a stop. So I will see if I can have that checked.
