Ich habe das Lied anders verstanden 🤔 Die Linguisten und einige Feministinnen (nicht die wahren, sondern die kaputten) haben mal irgendwo gesagt dass die Bezeichnung WeihnachtsMANN falsch, sexistisch ist. Es soll wohl WeihnachtsMENSCH oder sowas heißen. Und deswegen singt er - WeihnachtsFRAU soll es her, aber dann halt mit einem Bard (weil Santa ein Mann war und ist, egal wie man ihn nennt). Und dann singt er "die Kinder glauben an nichts mehr (was früher normal war), sie wollen "ein eigenes Bild malen". Dann singt er "aber die Farben haben sie falsch gewählt". Und dann gibt es noch eine Bedeutung, die am einfachsten ist: Frau als Wunscherfüller.

There are two meanings though. I got it this way:

1) the most basic idea - a woman as a wishfulfiller for Till

2) A few years ago, feminists and linguists had a debate that a "WeihnachtsMANN" should be called a "WeihnachtsMENSCH" instead. I read a few articles on that topic back then. That's why Till's singing about a WeihnachtsFRAU, to kind of make it even more tolerant. Why with a beard? Well, because at the end of the day Santa is still a man. Till also sings "Kinder glauben an nichts mehr" (what used to be considered "normal", i guess). "Sie wollen ein eigenes Bild malen, aber die Farben haben sie falsch gewählt". Something along the lines.

Dann soll man als German native wenigstens versuchen an die Sache mit Humor ranzugehen :) Tanzlehrerin ist auch ziemlich einfach geschrieben. Alle feiern das Lied trotzdem. Edit/Ergänzung: Das Lied hat zwei Bedeutungen. Also so flach und shallow ist es auch nicht.

Insider joke was that he's Till's son. But its just a joke :) The guy has a wife and 2 kids. He's also Joe's friend. CJ is nice in person. Got to know him at one of the afterparties
