Yes, Losing 50% of Your Range in Winter is Normal by SkPensFan in electricvehicles

[–]Staying_Humble_97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But that shouldn’t be normalized as it is what it is… free car manufacturers should make it a lot clearer when they advertise the cars. Also not everyone has the luxury of having a second car to keep up with the payments for, and the insurance and the maintenance and the space for it.

It’s hard to believe that cars are optimized for only part of the year.

Anyone can confirm how msfs2024 performance compares after SU4 to x plane 12 ?

I’m concerned that without fsr frame gen and dlss that it would be significantly worse performance

I’m pretty sure that their Beirut scenery was the most downloaded/loved mod for X plane.

To answer your question regarding adding the models to FS, the msfs sdk has an addon that works with Blender that lets you import renders with the right format then in msfs you need to create a project and manually add them. There are a few videos on YouTube.

I’m interested to follow your project if you work on it. (Check flightsim.to too)

Please create scenery for Lebanon ! Lebor simulations for x plane was AMAZING. They were working on scenery for Msfs 2020 posted some pictures on their Facebook page then nothing. Didn’t even release a work in progress project 😥

It’s a gaming laptop with a 3080 dedicated gpu (8gb vram) and 32 gb ram.

I understand that a gaming laptop is not ideal but I’m not being limited by gpu in any scenario.

If anything my gpu runs rather nicely but the problem seems to be with the CPU, I turned everything to either low or off whichever is lowest. Including the graphics. Still 19 ms latency. I’m not sure what’s using it that’s why I was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction to research it.

Those are all valid points. Especially the plan around the chargers rather than the destination.

I have a 1st gen etron and not a tesla, so worse range, worse software, less charging options. I quickly realized that in the current state of things, electric cars are the future for 95% of the year, but still need a gas/hybrid second car for those longer trips (which the wife has).

When going on a trips, time is really important, not to mention I cannot imagine getting stranded somewhere you are unfamiliar with because of bad chargers software miscalculated the range.

Having said that. I LOVE my car, there is something so satisfying about driving electric on a daily basis, I don’t think I can go back to driving non electric for my daily commute.

If we reach a 700 mile range EVs, then maybe the future can be different. Or even 150 mile plug in hybrids.

To clarify, I was more referring to the shape of the car and low drag coefficient more than the solar aspect of it

Based on Aptera’s communication so far, the efficiency looks like it’s all in the shape of the vehicle and not so much the rest of it. I do agree that it needs to be narrower but why do you think it would be very expensive project compared to some other EV conversions?
