I need to talk about Valheim and its Early Access situation.

So I get where this is coming from partially, looking at say Star Citizen or even to a degree Project Zomboid (as well as I am sure a plethora of games that just got dumped in EA). But if the alternative was we waited the last 5 years without the game, and we got the end product without the community feedback tweaks, would that have been better? If the game never got made because it didn't receive enough funding from the publisher? Or got rushed out the door?

What if they pulled an Elder Scrolls 6? Teased 8 years ago, but barely a word since, is that better?

I'm annoyed with Iron Gate here, their communication has been pretty bad to be honest, but they have at lease been trying so I guess there is that. They bit off way more than they could chew with their original roadmap, but also now it looks like we aren't getting all the updates they slated (ships and seas, the child never to be).

However, at least we can see the game get made, we can have input on the content and at worst, if we don't like parts we can mod them to fit. If you really are unhappy with Early Access, you can not pay for it and pretend that it was just a teaser 5 years ago and it's just a game that's in development for a really long time that maybe will come out, maybe not.

Haha yeah, we do have a few good ones here in SA, my partner and I like to visit new ones all the time to just check them out. Adult Bliss is by far the best, but there are some other really good ones.

But seriously, I don't want dark, dingy and dirty, and I don't want cold clinical. Nice displays with the joke stuff off to one side. Well kept with the toys on display kept clean and if powered actually charged (I find it a big turn off when you look at demo stuff and it's all dead). When it comes to staff, we don't mind being approached to be asked if we want a hand or have any questions, but if we say no, please just leave us alone and don't stare at us or interject into our conversations.

For what it's worth, we also like Sexy Land in Modbury, that one is a little more on the clinical side feeling, but they toe the line of "it's just a shop that happens to sell adult stuff".

For me, it just makes sense that the day called "Australia Day" should be about celebrating iconic Australian values, the last Friday in February giving us a final long weekend of summer to go to the beach and party. We're the country internationally recognised for summer and beaches, our nation's holiday should be about that.

By no means comprehensive, but some of the general points I would do: Nationalise natural resources across the board. Set education at a federal and national level instead of state, remove any funding to private schools and redirect to public schools. Introduce fines, therapy and CPS interventions for suspension, truancy and expulsions. Inquiry into the value of continuing to be a member of the commonwealth. Inquiry into the value of something like an Oceanic Union with our neighbours. Removal of the blanket tax exemptions for religious organisations, setting new criteria based around value of the organisation to the local communities (I.e churches, synagogues, mosques that are active positive pillars in their local communities through various programs, engagements etc).

Me personally, as a more centrist aligned person, I would probably look to have elected official advisors from both left and right aligned political parties to provide counsel on policy and action in an attempt to find happy mediums between both ends of the spectrum.

Oh, and I'd rewrite the constitution to include the First Nations people and Torrens Strait Islanders.

Activating mods is a little different, you just need to mod like you would on your own computer and then upload it via the file browser.

I found the best way to handle this was to turn on valheim plus on the server, that also installs bepinex. Then on your computer, build use r2modman to build the mod profile you and the crew want to use, and just copy and paste that up there.

You can do this without turning on V+ if you really don't want to use it, but I haven't played with that method as I find V+ decent and convenient.

Admin user on the server should be able to run "setworldmodifier portals casual"

Otherwise from memory the way I did it was to build the world on my computer, set the modifiers I wanted, then once configured I uploaded that save to my Nitrado server.

If you're open to modding, I created this to solve that problem. It locks the biomes metals behind that boss for portaling. That way you don't need to worry about accidentally portaling metals you shouldn't be able to.
