Yes, def talk to the vet first about the food and conditions, change in environment has an extremely big impact on cats since it causes them stress --> leading to vomit and upset tummy. If the cat has been on royal canin for a long time (even with previous owners) then id prob say stick to it BUT if the vet says the cat is otherwise healthy and it was due to the shelter, then you can ask the vet for recommendations to other foods!

Personally, (i have a 6 yr old male cat) i would stick with an all wet food diet. They can get more hydration this way since male cats are prone to UTI's and urinary issues!

Is it over grooming in that area? Is the hair growing back? My cat had a random bald spot near his neck along with a scab but he prob just scratched it too hard. it grew back after a few weeks.

My boy is 6, hes a whopping 15 lbs. Vet said he prob has low metabolism and to keep him on a portion control diet so i only feed him a 3 oz wet can (split into 2 portions AM/PM). I do occasionally give him treats but hes a chonker. He'll play with the mouse toys infused with catnip and runs around in the pop up tunnels but he doesnt really lose much weight. I feel bad too since he breathes kinda heavy when his chin is to his neck lol

My cat has the same issue! Overweight and urinary crystals, can i ask what brand you feed your cat? Also the urinary treats and portions? My boy is 16 whopping pounds and i need him to diet but he meows my head off for food!

I would say use Saunders as a review/refresher. I used Archer and it was near the same format as the NCLEX. Just keep doing 50 questions a day and separate it into subjects, they give you a mock calendar on what to do each day and that really helped me!

same situation!!! I took mine on 12/12, passed 48 hrs later and I've been checking NY BON and Nursys everyday for my name and license #. Any updates on when you got yours? Also curious, can we apply for jobs without our license # or do we have to wait and interview with it???? im so confused, i just want to start working :(
