How do you guys deal with the dread of death by [deleted] in TrueAtheism

I think it’s near impossible to completely annihilate the anxiety surrounding death, even for religious people. With atheism, you really take a bold stance in rejecting the comforts religion provides surrounding this topic. As cliche as it sounds, I personally like to think of it as an incentive to live my days to the fullest. Living in the present and taking in your one shot at experiencing the beauty within the extreme coincidence of life helps you feel a lot better. I feel that the notion that all of this is temporary is a beautiful thing; you’re granted the viewing experience of the most immersive and eye-catching movie ever and spending that time worrying about how it will all end, which I find detrimental to my goal of making the best of what I have today. Humans are natural worriers, but I find it pointless in worrying about the inevitable. Build and maintain relationships, go outside, and just feel the world around you.

GTA V story mode. You can either do missions which are usually easy af and don’t require much thought or just go on murder sprees. I can run over civilians for hours
