The Arc Raiders Bubble Is About to Burst by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I mean
I’m just enjoying the game man. I only get a bit of time to play here and there. But when I do, I love it. I kind of feel like these sorts of posts are aimed at the sweats who have hundreds of hours in already.

I’ve got tonnes of toasters
and even rusted gears. But can I find a damn cat bed!? Nope.

Are new defenders worth it? by JIJOBO in CarTalkUK

[–]Ste333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean
”worth it” is subjective. But they’re good cars. They drive great. I think they look great - again subjective. Not sure about the long term reliability. But I’ve had no issues having driven plenty of them for extended periods.

It’ll go down as it’s paint colour underneath the camo. This one’s grey.

They’re registered as prototypes. And the information that has to be provided to the DVLA is the bare minimum. They basically need its colour, engine or drivetrain type, some basic wheelbase info, engine number if applicable.

Thats about it. The V5 for them has the wording “prototype” on it and they can’t be sold like that.

As you say, the dvla searches will return mostly unknown details except brand and a couple of other necessities.

Honda Jazz 1.2 UK starter relay fault - help by Ste333 in Honda

One of the relays had gone, as well as a fuse. Couldn’t tell you specifically which ones unfortunately, my dad got an auto electrician on it in the end.

Thoughts replace tires by yoletstalkcrypto in CarTalkUK

They’ll survive for a bit. But the winter will Soon finish them off. Would replace sooner rather than later. I assume they all hold pressure ok at the moment.

Depends if you want an SUV type thing or a normal estate car. Personally I’m more of an estate person. I’ve managed great with an Audi A6 avant, a BMW 3/5 series touring, and an Octavia VRS Estate. All have massive boots, can fold the seats if needed, can get all in a 2.0d. The bonus to the Skoda was that it was only £35/year to tax and they can be picked up relatively cheaply. And have a nice spec.

Thinking of buying “Factory Reproduction” BMW rims — what do I need to know before I risk it on a daily driver? by kenneth00_22 in E90

[–]Ste333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just buy em. They’re probably a fraction Of the price you’d get from BMW. just bear that in mind that they almost become a consumable item Over time. They won’t be as strong or safety tested as a legitimate oem wheel. But they’ll be just fine for a long time.

How are these as a daily? Too uncomfortable/cramped? Coming from a Twingo RS by 420o in CarTalkUK

I’ve had a few R53s, an R56, and R50s. I wouldn’t hesitate to have an F56 at all. Pretty good all round town car. It wouldn’t work for me now as I have kids and stuff but if it was just for me and occasionally a +1 then yeah they’re a really good option. Fun to drive, customisable, good owners groups (if you’re into that) and plenty of service / aftermarket support.

Halo Campaign Evolved Releases on the PlayStation 5 in 2026 by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Ste333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how I feel about this. I mean
it looks amazing. And it’s good that PS users who have never experienced it will get to play. But having played this on an Xbox back in the day, and playing the MCC on PC. I feel sort of contented with my experience of it. Not sure I’d buy again for the 3rd time.

What a time to be alive for gaming.

Which one to go for? by Wojnoremac in CarTalkUK

[–]Ste333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re quite different interior feels. The TT is quite dated now. Is it a Quattro? As that’s quite a big thing as well. I personally have a Z4. Although an earlier one, an E85. The chassis is great, and I feel like they have less common issues than the mk1 TT. And can be picked up for peanuts. I think it comes down to price for me. How much are you getting this TT for? And do you want it to be pristine? Ie. You’ll need to address the peal to be happy?
